I was sitting quietly today, taking the programming language quiz on BBspot (I'm Perl, by the way - hard to understand but always able to help) and I saw the new Weird Al video:
Just to get this out first - I think I have a permacrush on Weird Al.
One thing confuses me. Why are there RenFaires but no Greco-RomanFaires? Seriously, I would go to a RenFaire only if there were strong alcohol involved but I'd love to peripatete around in a chiton, drinking red wine and talking about Sophocles or Ovid. Just imagine: a lush, bucolic meadow, the sun just setting, few sheep scattered around baaing and grazing, bi-sexual couples returning from their frolicking with grass in their hair and clothes and you are just getting into a fistfight with a rosy-cheeked programmer from Wisconsin over the dramatic qualities of the Oresteia... Can't you just see it?
