Agnes is sort of embarrassed to bring Carlos to her cottage after having seen his apartment. There's no television, no air conditioning... not even indoor plumbing. "Looks cozy," he says without the least bit of discomfort. He made his way over to her and kissed her cheek as he wrapped one arm around her waist.

"Certainly enough for one," she says with a shrug, nestling against his chest. "We'll see how it does for two, I suppose. Tea?"

"I don't take up too much room. And I'll do the floor if you're uncomfortable."

Carlos has learned to sleep just about anywhere.

Agnes smiles and goes to make the tea. She scowls at the stove the way she learned from Granny, and the wood quickly begins to smoke and then to flame, out of sheer embarrassment. She dips out some water into the iron kettle and sets it over the flame before walking back over to the table and sitting down, motioning for Carlos to do the same.

"That part I'm not worried about," she admits. Any excuse to snuggle closer to him was good enough for her.
