Well, I am updating this blog. I changed the layout from the somewhat awkward looking witchcraft theme to this beautiful Galaderial/elvish theme, which is working out beautifully. Seeing as I am known as Gaia in the world of livejournal, it makes sense that my journal be a bit earthy...
Fall semster starts next week, thank the Goddess. But I still have to get through this weekend. I have one more ardous day of work left this week and a mutiple-acre yard to mow, all within the same twenty four hour period.
I'm going to be so dead come Monday.
On a spiritual note, due to this wonderful new pagan music I found, I have found myself delving into the realm of Norse paganism. I'm being drawn to Odin and Skadi particularly. I believe each divinity has something to teach mankind and I am of the strong opinion that the wisdom of this god and goddess are just what I need.
Skadi most definently; she is a warrior goddess of winter. She represents the introspection of that season, justice and the general hard facts of life. And let's face it, once I get a good grasp on how the emotionless world we live in operates, I'll be doing just fine.
That and I have been caught under the spell of many warrior goddesses lately, Kali specifically, but curious about others.
Then there's Odin, another warrior god, but a master wizard and the one to introduce the magical system of runes to the world. Now despite my interest in Thoth, I can never seem to equate the male divine with magic for some reason. I am hoping this growing interest in Odin will change that. My research into the Mayan god Kukulcan already helped there also and I have invoked him in ritual at least once.
The autumn equinox is in September, later in the month, so I have some time to meditate before I need to prepare for the next sabbat.
Then there's my reiki lessons I need to finish, so I can move on to some work regarding the Akashic Records.
Blessed be.
