Angela is largely book-smart. She's not as smart as Koren, but she's still rather intelligent. She's more dumb about affairs of the heart and life experience due to her sheltered and strange childhood. She's only spent a few months outside Altena, and has pretty much had a baptism-by-fire about the way the world works. Some parts of it still horrify her, particularly the slave trade and abuse of women and children. She doesn't have the skills to cope with harsh reality.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?
She thinks on her feet when it comes to combat-- Angela has learned how to assess a target's elemental weakness, keep track of what day/time it is to use the most effective spells, and which monsters to aim for first. She's had to learn all this in order to survive and protect her friends. If she has the option, though, she will take her time to plan out her moves and set up contingency plans.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Angela is a largely emotional person, but she's smart enough to know that this makes her intuition easily influenced by her emotional state. She relies more on logic. Despite her upbeat personality, Angela is a cynic at heart and tends to lean towards practicality when she's deciding on what to do. If she's too emotional, though, she becomes impulsive without realizing it, and can lash out or otherwise do stupid things.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
She knows about how to be a princess, her world's history and religion, current politics, and how to write and read. She's studied magical theory and applications more thoroughly than is normal for a woman her age due to her inability to use it for so long. Angela's a bookworm at heart, and she enjoys learning when it's actually fruitful for her. She only gave up on her magic lessons because of her frustration with having no results, especially because she's the heir to the throne and thus has more weighing on her shoulders.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?
Magic theory, hands down. Angela's not really a scholar in a lot of areas, but she knows her magic. She also knows her history due to being thrust into a quest that reflects a lot of the legends in her world.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?
Extrovert in some cases, introvert in others. Angela has a way of putting forth a brave, friendly, and confident mask because it was her only defense against her own ineptitude and loneliness. Angela doesn't just like attention, she craves it, needs it. The easiest way to break her is to ignore her entirely, because of how her mother treated her in the past.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Angela is easy to anger and upset and fluster. She reacts quite passionately and feeds off others' emotions. She has the ability to distance herself when she gets too close to a situation, but not before she gets invested. Mostly, Angela has a self-centered, the-world-revolves-around-me point of view that isn't totally obvious but is still there. She believes her opinions are the be all, end all, and she's always right. Anyone who disagrees is just misinformed. This drives Durannuts, especially since she won't admit to it.

Angela keeps people at a distance. Even her close friends haven't broken entirely through her shell. She's friendly and flirtatious, but not touchy-feely. She doesn't trust easily, and she won't open up unless the situation calls for it. This is partially because she doesn't really understand what it is to be dependent and to trust someone completely. It's also due to the traumatic experience of having someone she once allowed see her at her weakest threaten her life.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?
Angela is largely reactive. She will protect others if they are in trouble, though.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight?
Fight. Angela is too stubborn to turn tail, especially now that she can actually defend herself.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
Angela loves, loves, LOVES pranks. She also teases and makes sexual innuendo like no tomorrow. She's kind of mean in terms of her sense of humor, and it almost always comes at someone else's expense.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?
Mommy never loved Angela enough. It's caused some damage. Mental diseases aren't common knowledge in her world, though, so it's more just that she had a shitty childhood and she grew up with a TON of issues because of it. It's likely she has some form of PTSD, but she's had to suppress it due to fleeing for her life and then being enlisted as a soldier of the Goddess.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?
- Growing up without any kind of acknowledgment from her mother
- Striking out in an attempt to get attention of any kind, including negative
- Koren vanishing and returning an evil bastard
- Mother and Koren deciding her fate for her, her escape
- Meeting her buds and going on an adventure with them
14. What does she fear?
Her mother. Koren. Losing her friends. The world going to hell thanks to her mother and Koren and all the other forces working against the Goddess. God Beasts. Oh, and floating eyeball monsters (called beholders in her world). Those things are just gross.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations?
She wants to save Koren, make her mother see the light, and save the world. She doesn't have any expectations beyond that. She used to strive for her mother's love or hope for someone to come along and sweep her off her feet, but Angela's put love on the list of unattainable things over the past few years.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?
She'd rather her Somarium friends never find out about her past, but well, they probably will because she has nightmares about it frequently. Mostly she doesn't want anyone to figure out how scared and weak she really feels deep down.
