Angela was born to Queen Valda of Altena nineteen years ago. She spent most her childhood in the care of nursemaids and servants, and rarely did she see her mother. Queen Valda was entirely unresponsive to her daughter, and treated her more as a pest than her own child, shooing her from the throne room when she even bothered to notice her. Starved for affection from her mother, Angela learned to strike out and cause trouble from a young age. She strove to get attention from anyone who she could get it from, be it negative or positive (though it was mostly negative). Her sole friend was Victor, a servant's son the same age as her. She dragged Victor along with her on all her grand schemes. They set up tripwires, put frogs in the soup pots in the kitchen, and buttered the hallways until their positions and responsibilities forced them apart.
Angela did not react well to her separation from Victor, and continued to buck authority, wearing inappropriate clothing and acting improperly for a princess. On top of this, both Angela and her older classmate Koren were finding themselves completely unresponsive to the teachings of their magic instructor. Angela was easily frustrated in her inability to use magic, and often took it out on whoever she could. Koren also worked hard, but he seemed to have the same luck with his magic. The two of them spent a lot of time studying together and got to know each other, though their friendship was strained due to the lack of progress on either end.
Koren vanished one day, only to return a week later with magical power that made past royalty of Altena look weak in comparison. He was immediately given the title of Red Lotus-- the highest magician's rank in Altena-- and became the Queen's right hand, often times acting in her stead. Angela was jealous, and tried in her lessons for a little while... Until she became too frustrated again to continue. Her tutors were no longer interested in putting up with her selfishness and they too eventually gave up.
Murmurings of war started about the castle a few months later. Koren had been beefing up the Altenan army in what looked like a preparation to attack. One day, Angela was summoned to her mother's court. Therein, Koren and Valda outlined their plans to Angela. There was a Mana Stone that would grant them entrance to the Mana Holy Land, and the spell needed to open the way would require the sacrifice of a life. As Angela had proved herself useless otherwise, she would be used as the sacrifice. Angela refused. Just as she was about to be subdued and taken against her will, Angela managed to awaken some of her latent magic and teleport from the castle.
She found herself on the snowy land of the Subzero Snowfield, and only by the kindness of some nearby villagers did she make it out alive. At the advice of a fortune teller, Angela headed to Wendel, where she hoped the high priest could give her some insight to her situation. There, she met a girl her age from Rolante who had a fairy in her head. Suddenly, Angela's life was much more busy than she ever expected it to be.
She met her five traveling companions along the way. There was Riesz, the princess of Rolante, who had a fairy from the Holy Land taking up roost in her head. There was Kevin, the half-beastman and son of the King of the Beast Kingdom. There was Hawk, the thief from Navarre, there was Carlie, the little girl from Wendel, and there was Duran, the knight from Forcena. The six traveled together, unraveling the plots of several evil forces, attempting to save the Mana Goddess as she grew ever weaker.
They have now traveled the world and gathered the power of each of the elemental spirits and now make for the Holy Land in search of the Sword of Mana. Angela was recently able to upgrade herself to a Grand Divina, and she's hoping that finding the sword will be enough to put this foolish war to an end and maybe convince her mother to see the error of her ways.

Spunky, wild, and difficult to handle, Angela does things how Angela wants, and while going on an adventure to save the world has given her a bit more of a command on her emotions, she's still her bawdy self. She still expects to be pampered and given special treatment, and tries to get away with a lot. She doesn't take criticism well, and tends to respond to negativity with her own brand of snottiness.
She's sassy and obnoxious, and tends to let her mouth get her into trouble. If she sees something "wrong" with the way a certain character acts, she calls them on it without hesitation. She's painfully blunt and yet still a tease. She enjoys toying with people, but never in a malicious way. Beneath all the bravado is a girl who doesn't really know her own potential and is so used to being dismissed as more of a burden than anything that she's genuinely surprised when she actually succeeds at something. She doesn't understand her mother, and both fears and respects her. She will relate the story of how her mother intended to kill her without any kind of abjuration, but will not tolerate anyone speaking ill of her. You do not insult Angela's mom unless you want a fireball to the face.
Despite her emotional nature, Angela has a good head on her shoulders. She understand right versus wrong, though her own selfishness can get in the way of more complicated moral decisions. She can be easily ruffled and has quite a temper, but she's not impossible to get along with so long as you get on her good side. She's very vain, can constantly be found fussing with her hair and make-up, and flattery is an easy way to get her to warm up. She can be flustered, however, particularly because she's very inexperienced. She's used to attention and compliments on her figure, but no one has ever pushed her to be intimate on any level, and the idea still makes her nervous.
[Specialties/Abilities] Angela can use Mana magic, and I'm working with the grand divina build for her, which means she can use Double Spell and cast two spells at once. She can use at least one spell in each elemental category, though her aptitude with darkness magic is lacking due to using the power of light in each mana stone to become a grand divina. Angela can also smack people with her staff, though that does considerably less damage since she's not very strong, physically.
[Affection] Angela likes attention! She's open to attention from anyone. She'll probably react more positively if she's attracted, but feel free to get cuddly with her regardless. Intimacy will probably fluster her-- She's a princess, she hasn't exactly done much. Anything flirty-flirty is welcome and she'll be very flattered and likely just as flirtatious in return. She'll only start tossing spells around if she's said no and isn't being listened to.
[Fighting] Angela is easy to overpower, physically. She still won't hesitate to swing her staff at your head, and it's a pretty heavy sucker. She's a little more hesitant to use her magic on people, since she's more used to fighting off monsters and the idea of killing a person kind of freaks her out. Take advantage of this as you will. Just please don't maim her without my permission.
