With Mary MacDonald (
bookishwitch)
Follows on from here.
Lily had arrived early at the coffee shop near Mary's flat. She had left early that morning with the intention of wasting a few hours trying to locate the little coffee shop. Instead, it had taken her twenty minutes. Now, she sat waiting at a table. Patience had never been a trait Lily handled well.
From within her handbag, Lily pulls out a pad of paper and a pen. As much as she loves her quill and parchment, she's been missing the simplicity of the Muggle pen and paper ever since her life had been turned upside down at the age of eleven. She had felt excitement as she left her flat earlier this morning and still feels it thrumming through her. Helping Mary with her research was something Lily had found interesting since she had discovered Mary was working on it. The excitement is mostly due to the notion of working on something so profound. Selfishly, though, Lily is excited to be out of the flat, doing something rather than waiting around for the next meeting to be called or waiting for James' next prank.
She watches the few passers-by as she waits for Mary to arrive.
