Has anyone else noticed people acting... strange, lately? A lot of people seem tired and kind of out of it. Is there some sort of disease going around or something?

You mean a disease that makes it hard for everyone to sleep?

...Would something like that exist? It sounds weird enough to be true...

That's not weird. I mean, I had trouble sleeping when I had a fever when I was a kid. People don't always sleep well when they're sick.

Well yeah, but that's usually because the fever or diarrhea or cold makes it hard to fall asleep. First time I've heard that a disease affects the dreaming, though.

No one did, but since no one's showing symptoms of anything besides insomnia, and people aren't getting tired fast enough for it to be caused by a complete lack of sleep, my best guess is that it's related to something that happens when they fall asleep, or when they dream.
