It's been so quiet ever since that big crash the other day... has any explanation been offered as to why we had to land in the ocean in the first place?

Oh, and... does anyone know how long it's recommended to stay off a sprained ankle? It's been nearly a week...

You're fine. Spraining's an annoyance not an injury. A few days all you need.

Something broke I'd say.

That's what I thought... but I've been wary not to aggravate anything...

Something broke? In the Garden?

It's a piece of machinery. Of course sometimes it breaks.

You're only supposed to coddle sprains a few days. A week's plenty.

A machine? That's one way of looking at it... I didn't think of it that way...

But it... still hurts... on occasion...

Every machine's got one break in its lifetime. The proper response is never stop using it the proper response is fix it so it doesn't break the same way later.

It's going to but that doesn't mean it's unsafe to stand on. So long as you kept off it and didn't stress it the past week the ankle should survive the experience when you start using it now.

Ah, I didn't know that... thanks.

I hope it doesn't happen again...

Well hopefully. A mechanic's job is not to miss things. If there's another error it better not be for them overlooking it.

You're welcome.

Are you a mechanic yourself?

Someday I'd like to be. Got sorta interrupted on that but I figure I'll get around to my life's passion again someday.

Mostly it's a hobby. Keeps the hands busy.

I see...

Are you taking any classes here that might benefit your aspiration?

Yeah. It's all basics though. Nothing I don't know. Could always do with a refresher or two though. ;)

Been doing some stuff on my own too I have. Nothing major. Just wanted to see how the computers worked. Not much different really. A few chips I had to look at in context to figure out what they do.

The real weirdness is in the programming language - got to get me a manual of that I do. Need to learn it before I take IT next semester. Looks almost as much a mess as Perl script in the raw honestly. Take a few passes to see where it hates fun the most and then dig in and hope I don't break something too awful.

That sounds... complicated...

It's pretty simple really. Any idiot could do it and a lot of idiots do.

It's just trial and error.

If I can pick it up so can any other idiot with enough time and effort.
