[Mikuru's first roommate here was pretty much a fairy princess. So rather than being weirded out by this new girl, she just smiles, a little bittersweet.]

Those are pretty. [She's looking at the wings.]

[The sudden voice snaps Rita out of her focus on the catalog, and at first she's confused about what Mikuru's talking about, but her eyes follow Mikuru's to her wings. No one had ever actually complimented them so casually before.]

Thank you. [She isn't sure what else to say.]

You're welcome. [She smiles, then indicates the letter and catalog.] You're new here, right? Do you need any help with anything?

[Rita nodded in response to her question, offering a smile back. She was indeed new.]

I was just looking at the.. the courses here. I want to learn more about this world.

Cultural Studies is a good elective for that. I took it last quarter; the instructor's nice. And I'm doing World Geography and World History this quarter; they go pretty well together. Garden Code has all the rules but really, they go pretty easy on a lot of them, like most of the SeeD don't mind if you don't salute them every time.

[She thinks for a moment, back on the classes she's taken...]

Oh! How good are you with computers?

[Rita listened intently as Mikuru spoke, recalling the names that she had seen on the catalog. When she mentions computers, though, a very curious look dawns on her face.]

What is a computer?

They're...machines for giving out and working with information; you use them in a lot of the classes - better take Information Technology too.

[Well that sounded simple enough. They had similar devices in her world, although most of her technology was magical. She nodded to Mikuru's response.]

I'll take that class, then. [It was probably a good idea to learn about what technology this world had, anyway. She flipped through the catalog briefly before looking up again.]

What if I already know how to fight?

Then you'll do really well in those classes!

[She wrinkled her nose at that.]

I don't want to waste time with things I already know.
