It's just that everyone's been so down lately.

[She's probably had Pinkie Pie for home ec or at least spent far too much time around the overly cheerful instructor at some point. It's a convenient excuse.]

I thought maybe a hug would cheer some of them up. That or at last I could let them there's someone who'll listen to them if they need to talk.

[Hugging someone with a sign in your hand isn't all that easy so she takes a second to put it down before opening her arms.]

[Well this is slightly awkward, as she doesn't know you or anything, but her she goes. It's not the most intimate hug in the world (that would be awkward), but she doesn't treat you like a dead fish, either. It's somewhere in the middle. Let's call it a happy medium.]

[Serah honestly doesn't find it all that awkward, if she did she probably wouldn't be offering free hugs in the first place. It's a nice, friendly hug and nothing more. After all anything more would be kind of creepy let alone awkward. After a moment, she pulls back and smiles at Kate.]
