[In the training center, there is a male with purple hair, looking as if he was dancing, but really practicing his sword swings.

Until you hear this melody come from his weapon. High slashes give off high notes, low slashes for low notes, and all else in between are thanks to fast movements and gliding the rainbow blade through the air to allow ( Read more... )

[Robin's not going to disturb senpai, especially since he looks really into it.

Still, the sight nearly distracts the kid from defeating Grats. Belatedly remembering to finish it off, he then slowly wanders over in Gakupo's direction and watches. Huh. Robin didn't even know swords could do that!]

[He forgot all about Grats, but he sees one inching towards him. With narrowed eyes, Gakupo breaks his melody to slash at it once, defeating it easily before going back to where he left off.]

[Oy.

For once, being a ninja isn't working in his favor...] How are you even able to do that?

[It's rather hard to hear footsteps over this music, so Gakupo stops abruptly, seeing a costumed youth behind him. He remembers that person from a while ago...]

I'm not doing anything. It's the way the sword was created.

Really?

[He has to remind himself that Gakupo doesn't know his secret identity. So Robin bites his lip, trying to be careful about what he says next:] Did you just buy it that way? Or did someone put a spell on it or something?

That's a good question. This sword was passed down from my father, and his father to him, and so on. It's an heirloom, but I don't know how it was forged.

Oh.

That's... sch---that's cool, I guess. [Ugh, past slang sounds so weird to him.]

This sword has also seen many wars... [He looks to his blade, making a mental note to clean it later.]

[presses his lips.] They'll probably see another one soon. I hear this world's been itching to fight for a while now.

So I hear, as well. I don't wish for it. [He sheathes his weapon with a soft sigh.]

I hope something can be figured out, without going to war about it.

If they've got decent diplomatic communications, maybe. [Although Robin's itching for a fight, Damian knows better than to actually wish violence upon anyone. Especially since it isn't the answer to anything.] But from what I hear, these zifts don't know the first thing about compromise.

If SeeD has to step in, it'd probably be for the best.

It does seem that way. Negotiations haven't gotten us very far.

[Gakupo raises an eyebrow at the term the masked boy used.] Zifts?

[Aw, slag.... he keeps forgetting his slang's unique to him and him alone.]

Something wrong with the term?

Robin still has that speech modulator thing on his neck right? eggplantallergy January 8 2012, 08:10:02 UTC
Ah, no, I'm just unfamiliar with it. I can guess what it means, though.

"Idiot?" Yeah, it's kind of a catch-all for anything related to zid---stupid people.

Dunno if Gakupo has the heart to break it to him that he knows lol eggplantallergy January 8 2012, 08:20:31 UTC
