[To most Cadets, it's an ordinary day. Attend morning classes, grab some lunch, go attend afternoon classes... but something feels off. Some of the native cadets look a little nervous as they receive letters from their hometowns, speaking of strange occurrences ( Read more... )

this is fashionably late, okay, and I had to put this info somewhere totallynotaspaz November 19 2011, 07:56:43 UTC
[In Deling City, a giant, metal man with flaming green hair arrives in a flurry of destruction. Chaos, fires, and damaged buildings...but eventually it subsides, and he sets off in search of his target, destruction in his wake wherever he goes.

And wherever he goes, he sends out a broadcast as far and wide as he can, holding up a photo demanding he be taken to this child as soon as possible.

And all the while, Skulker slowly makes his way across Galbadia and towards Balamb...]

((OOC: Okay, uh, this is just to set precedent for something I'm doing later, but people are welcome to hear about Skulker's presence or see the broadcasts--if they can even make it all the way to Balamb--and interact/talk/whatever about it!))

[On their arrival in Deling, Sharpay had been livid to find that her old apartment building had been among those damaged by, as the incredulous Galbadians told her, a giant metal man. She'd been too busy pulling her fighting gloves on and adjusting her junctions to really listen to the reports that he was looking for some kid; instead, Sharpay was just storming off to follow the trail of destruction.]

[It takes a little while, but eventually Skulker spies Sharpay following him. That's when he stops flying and hovers in mid-air, facing her with crossed arms.]

Well?

[Following at a distance behind Sharpay, Cid's covering their rear and taking in just the sheer amount of destruction caused here. He does pause on occasion to listen to the individual's broadcast, but he doesn't really focus his attention on the entity until it actually stops to face Sharpay.

Well, this could be bad.]

[Tom doesn't even raise an eyebrow when he sees Skulker. He's seen way worse - and even though he's heard the reports, he doesn't want this guy finding that kid - so he doesn't think twice about stepping forward to face him.]

What's so special about this kid you're looking for?
