[So you have two options here, Garden.]

A: Library, after class
[Lately, Cissnei's been hitting the books. Not just for classwork, of course, but because she's curious about the GF and how exactly those summons work. So you might just see her at a table with several books open while writing notes.]

B: Training room, later at night
[While she has ( Read more... )

I sure feel sorry for the guy who gets in the way of that.

Course he actually needs to get in the way in the first place and then it's probably all his fault if you're kicking him at all, but still.

[She laughs at his comment.]

I try to avoid open combat when I can and need.

Yeah? Then you're at least as smart as you look. No sense looking for trouble even if you can handle it... which I'm pretty sure you can -- like I said, I wouldn't wanna get in the way of one of those.

[She kicks the bag lightly, thinking for a few moments.]

On my world, we were trained to fight nearly anything. It's part of the job. Or, well, it was.

So nothing about this is new.

Not exactly. We didn't have anything nearly as formal as this, not for us at least. We were few in number and we all know a little bit of everything. GFs, those are new too.

Truth is, I've never had a formal education. A proper school like this is new to me.

That makes two of us.

Sort of, I've only been here for a few years and learning's not my thing, but before I showed up I'd never seen anything like it in my life -- I've been to palaces smaller and emptier than this. So how're you liking it here? Miss your old school, don't care about it at all, feel like you're moving on to something bigger and better and possibly more life-threatening...

... Palaces. [And here, Cissnei is raising her eyebrows and crossing her arms. Palaces? She shouldn't be surprised, the last Gaia she was on had castles.]

I don't know about the last one, but... I don't think I miss home that much. I, mean, do, parts of it, but there are things there I'm not looking forward to seeing or knowing about, you know?

[Well, it did help that quite a few of them were either abandoned or housed tombs...]

...yeah. Yeah, I can get that. You thinking of this as a fresh start?

[She can't judge, she's raided homes somewhere down the line.]

Might be. Who knows.

[Cissnei shakes her head.]

But that's all in the past. There's a here and a now I need to worry about. That and the man who might get in the way of my kicks.

You're talking about me, aren't you.

Just how many grown men have you managed to knock on their asses anyway?

I never said that.

[But she's grinning.]

Enough.

Hey, I think I can recognise a hint if I see one. In any case you're only going to get so much experience beating up a bag, and you'd probably get in trouble if you killed me -- think you could use a partner? I need to do something that I won't get paid for, for once.

I don't see any reason to kill you, you know. You don't have to worry about that. [She eyes the claw on his glove. Cissnei can handle it.] I could use a match or two against someone.

Can't be too careful. You'd be surprised what some people've tried to kill me for.

[She shouldn't have much to fear from it -- he'll just be testing her speed, see if she can actually land a blow on him. If anything the gauntlet's just going to stop him from hurting something; he'll be careful not to dig his claws into anything.]

Any rules you wanna set?

['No weapons' might be a start.]

I think I can say the same for myself.

[She might be small, but speed is definitely her thing. Could be interesting...

But she hears you loud and clear, mostly because she's thinking the same thing. Rekka's been put aside, anyhow.]

No weapons. Anything else is fair game, at least for me.

[As you can see, Turks don't really have rules... not usually, at least.]
