Not exactly. We didn't have anything nearly as formal as this, not for us at least. We were few in number and we all know a little bit of everything. GFs, those are new too.

Truth is, I've never had a formal education. A proper school like this is new to me.

I don't know about the last one, but... I don't think I miss home that much. I, mean, do, parts of it, but there are things there I'm not looking forward to seeing or knowing about, you know?

But that's all in the past. There's a here and a now I need to worry about. That and the man who might get in the way of my kicks.

Hey, I think I can recognise a hint if I see one. In any case you're only going to get so much experience beating up a bag, and you'd probably get in trouble if you killed me -- think you could use a partner? I need to do something that I won't get paid for, for once.

I don't see any reason to kill you, you know. You don't have to worry about that. [She eyes the claw on his glove. Cissnei can handle it.] I could use a match or two against someone.

Can't be too careful. You'd be surprised what some people've tried to kill me for.

[She shouldn't have much to fear from it -- he'll just be testing her speed, see if she can actually land a blow on him. If anything the gauntlet's just going to stop him from hurting something; he'll be careful not to dig his claws into anything.]
