[With only a day to go before classes started, Gavril thought it would be a good idea for the instructors to get together and try to enjoy themselves before the stress of the start of the school year got to all of them. But more than that, it was a chance for them to all get together and get to better know one another, as there weren't many

[Tom'd already been there before most people. In retrospect, this was probably a bad idea, as he's already drinking his second beer at the bar.

He might want to lay off the booze - for just a little bit - or else he'll be drinking his whole weight in alcohol before the night's over.]

Don't drink too much too fast. Last time I checked, you were a man not a fish. [Oh hey Tom. It's Paris HiltonDick. He just arrived apparently.

Dick didn't mind going to these things to socialize. He wasn't a heavy drinker though. And he rather not get drunk around staff of all people.]

[Tom can't help glancing over at Dick with a slight smile.] I'll be fine. Don't worry 'bout me so much, you hear?

[Not that he takes Dick's advice that seriously in the first place...]

As long as you aren't the type who starts singing while standing on the bar top, I think we're good

[He just chuckles, taking a seat next to the other. Dick plays the idiot son role well.]

[Snorts] Nah, that's not my style--or Dad's either, come to think of it. But if I start a bar fight? Totally my bad.

I don't know if I want to attempt to break up any bar fights. [Except he would, because he wouldn't just sit there and watch that.

Unless, you know, he somehow got involved in it instead.] Let's just hope things don't end like that.

Here's to hoping. [He raises his glass in agreement before taking another sip.]

I'm not really a big drinker. You have any recommendations? I can try anything. [We'll see how far Dick can hold his liquor.]

Well, if you're not big on alcohol... there's always the fruitier drinks. [Tom's not picky when it comes to booze. Clearly.] I prefer beer, but there's always the Hurricane?

We can try that. I guess I'm more inclined to try fruitier drinks. [Dick drinks frilly drinks and he regrets nothing about it. They taste good and he cannot be tamed.]

Whatever floats your boat, man. [Goes ahead and orders the drink he mentioned!] It's not like you don't have class in the morning, after all.

Wouldn't you just love to start class hungover? I'm sure the students would love to see that on their first day.

It'd be the best way to make a first impression for sure... especially if you end up puking all over the floor.

[snorts] Nah, I'd like to let the kids think we've still got some class.

[He laughs a bit, before taking a sip from his glass.] We have plenty of class. It just doesn't really show if you're puking all over the place while housing a raging headache.
