D --> I could commune with animals
D --> Mostly, this manifested as the Garden's feline pop001ation tailing me every where

[ Oh god what is that hideous texting. Erik doesn't approve. 8| ] It couldn't be that they were tailing you for your texting inconsistencies, now would it?

[Dohoho, someone who disapproves of his typing style. That's something he's NEVER encountered before!]

D --> I'm sure you'll find that my te%t remains quite consistent, I'll thank you very much
D --> And even if it weren't, that would be abso100tely ridic001ous
D --> Cats cannot read
D --> They were simply doing it because they were cats and they could
D --> Not that one requires the ability to confer with the fauna to figure that out

[ NOPE CAN'T IMAGINE WHY EQUIUS WOULD BE SURPRISED. ]

You give cats far too little credit. They're an adaptive species, much like any other. I'm sure you must have been quite interesting for them to find you appealing.

D --> I give them e%act amount of credit, act001ly, and they know it
D --> They know precisely how to get me to do what they want
D --> Communing simply meant that it was e%ponentially easier for them to do

I'd say you were weak-willed to allow cats to walk all over you if were not for the fact that you're clearly otherwise.

What could you do originally, if you don't mind my asking?

D --> They're only cats
D --> I don't see the harm in indulging them somewhat

D --> I am quite e%cessively STRONG
D --> Nearly everything brea% in my hands, even when I employ the utmost caution

The fact remains that they're still cats, and you... are clearly superior. Communing with cats seems like an ineffective downgrade when you consider what you can do.

D --> That is true enough
D --> But it did give me the opportunity to embrace someone I care greatly for
D --> I have never been able to touch another without

D --> Even if I may never touch another again, it is an e%perience I will never forget

Isn't that sweet. To care so much about love. Would you prefer holding onto that memory or indulging yourself in the act constantly?

D --> I will not correct your use of the human term love
D --> But only because I tire of constantly having to define Alternian quadrants
D --> To answer your question; the memory is enough
D --> I have the belief that given time and practice, I will learn to reign in my STRENGTH at will

You'd leave someone in ignorance? I admit I'm not familiar with your terms in the slightest, though if I can use a more appropriate choice of words, I would appreciate it.

I have no doubt you would. Self control has always been a difficult act to master.

D --> Ugh
D --> If only I could find Vantas and force him to make a master post that I could just link to when this topic comes up
D --> E%plaining emotions is not my STRONG suit

D --> Troll romance is driven primarily by feelings of hate and pity, and is divided into four quadrants
D --> Two of the quadrants are based on mating fondness while the other two are based on balance
D --> Matespritship comes from a combination of pity and mating fondness, and is the closest to human love
D --> It is vis001ly represented by a <3
D --> Moiraillegiance is purest form of pity and occurs when two trolls feel compelled to protect, guide, and otherwise keep each other in line
D --> It is vis001ly represented by a <>
D --> Tis my moirail, Nepeta, whom I took the opportunity to hold when my STRENGTH deserted me
D --> Kismesissitude is the heated rivalry between trolls born out of the blackest feelings of hatred, and is tied to feelings of mating fondness

I was expecting a simple answer, not a drawn out explanation with more unfamiliar terms. Although I do find this reasoning satisfactory. It's far more efficient in describing relationships than the way humans do it, useless words and gestures that mean nothing.
