[ Cloud had decided to get up early and spend a few hours with his blades, making sure that they were in shape after the whole 'sucked into another world' thing. Once cleaned, sharpened, and polished he took the Fusion Swords outside of the Garden for practice. Sure he could have gone to the Training Center, but he had found the ceiling was just

[While he knew there were swordsmen at this place other than his first mate, Marvelous had yet to see one practice really. He wasn't much of a refined swordsman but, he could appreciate the work and technique that went into it so, simply passing by, he paused to watch this guy.]

Hm. Not bad.

[ A slight flush at the other's words before Cloud opens the First Ken and plucks the jagged sword from the ground and snapping it into place on the main sword's over-sized guard with a slight click. ]

It's a basic training kata, nothing too impressive.

[Slight smirk at the modesty. There were definitely some similarities.]

Does it get more impressive with more swords or should I stop watching now?

It depends on if you think bigger is better.

[ A shrug and he continues to link the swords up, turning it into one huge sword that should by all rights tear Cloud's arms out of their sockets, or at least make it impossible for anyone to carry, especially when they were not built like a brick wall. ]

I have a few tricks with the Fusion Swords that aren't normal for a Buster-class sword.

Anything can be better if it works. [As the sword got bigger, it reminded him of Shinken Red's Rekka Daizantou which, also by all means, should tear an arm right out from it's size. If this guy specialized in this style of swordplay instead of multiple swords, it was making Marvelous curious to how he would stack up against him.]

Buster class?

It works.

[ Maybe this place doesn't have a Buster-class sword group. Cloud knew that it was considered a very odd sword even among SOLDIER - outside of himself, Zack and Angeal, no one really used the heavy swords. Even then, Cloud wasn't a real SOLDIER, only whatever Hojo had tried to make him into before deeming him a failure. ]

As in 'who needs a tank to bust down a wall when you've got a sword equal to the task?'

[Marvelous nodded. Fair assessment and, just by looking at it, it probably could break down a wall in a few seconds. And now Marvelous was more interested in taking this guy on. He's been bored out of his mind lately and a fight would be a good way to kill time.]

And even with a sword like that, you're fighting air. Want an opponent?

I don't mind having an opponent. It's been a while since I had a friendly spar with anyone.

[ He'll have to be careful though. It didn't look like this guy was an enhanced as a SOLDIER, although he could have other tricks. There was no telling what any of the other refugees like him were capable of. ]

[Sure, he may not look like much right now but, really, that is not going to stop him.

Approaching the blonde so he was standing a few feet in front of him, Marvelous takes out his Mobirate and Gokaiger key, smirk on his face as he flips them both open.]

You can have a friendly spar. I want to go all out. Gokai Change!

[Placing the key into the Mobirate, there's a flash of light that is shaped like an X and, once it fades, he's in significantly different attire than before.]

Captain, huh?

[ Okay, that was a little different. He frowned, bringing his sword up into the ready position, watching to see what would happen next. ]

Any rules?

[Cracking his knuckles, Marvelous tapped his belt so that another key spun out and he held it in hand.]

No rules. Just wait till I even the odds.

[Placing this new key into his Mobirate, the automated voice yelled out 'Shinkenger' and his attire changed again. ]

Rekka Daizantou. [Holding out his hand, fire began to spread from it and shape into his own massive weapon that he slung over his shoulder once it was formed.

You're not the only one with a big sword, Cloud.]

I don't want to kill you.

[ A slight joke since he knew how to pull back when going against unenhanced people. Then Marvelous did something new and Cloud raises an eyebrow. It definitely was a bit odd looking - more like a child's project in clay than the swords he was use to, but he reminded himself that it could probably still hurt when it hit. ]

Good to know.

[Not dying was good. Marvelous would rather not die today but, he wanted a good spar. Admittedly, his weapon likely wasn't something that could be taken seriously just based on the colours but, he was only borrowing the powers so, he couldn't complain as long as they worked.]

Interesting weapon.

[ He flipped his sword to his off-hand, blunt edge up and the blade cutting across his upper body. ]

Let's see what it can do.

Heh.

[Taking his own weapon off his shoulder, Marvelous figured he would be the one who would take the offense, charging forward and swinging his blade at the blonde.]

[ He shifted his weight, bringing his sword up to block and push Marvelous back. For now, he was only going to defend himself until he got a better idea of his opponent's strength. ]
