Today was going to be a simple walk, maybe just chill down by the water and maybe go in at some point. You know, maybe... when no one was watching or anything.

But no.

There's a guy covered in cats trying to fish. What would be the odds of this? More likely than Eridan would have thought. Greece, it is a fine afternoon, isn't it? Fine enough for you to be stared at by this grumpy seadweller a couple feet away.]

What are you doin'?

[...wait, it wasn't obvious...?]

It looks like you're havin' some trouble with a bunch a purrbeasts.

[He moves in and picks one up carefully by the scruff of its neck.]

I was just takin' a walk.

[lefteros]

Purrbeasts.

[...Greece likes that word, actually; he's just repeating it to keep it in mind. Eridan gets a curious look for the way he picked that kitten up: most people do it differently, but the kitten's gone limp, so Greece won't intervene.]

Do you normally go near the water?

[ He truthfully didn't care that much for the kitten but... even he can admit it looks a tiny bit cute. He looks at the limp kitten as he replies. ]

I am a seadweller an' all, so I am drawn to the sea's sweet serenade. Especially more-so in the later hours a the evenin' when it sounds the sweetest.

...but you don't go in the water?

[Who knows, maybe sea-people get weird about foreigners too.]

... Occasionally I do. Not as much as other seadwellers. I... was busy above the water most a the time.

[It's better to not try to understand Eridan and water... it's a weird relationship they have. He removes his hold on the kitten and switches to holding it in his hands, watching as the cute little thing bat at his fingers. He miiiight have cracked a small smile or something. ]

[Aha, that smile means that Eridan is a potential adopter. Good, because that will make things easier.]

Are you still busy now?

Not very much at all. Especially since I'm not where I was before bein' sent here.

[Haha... yeah, the little guy's starting to grow on him a little bit. He gently scratches behind his ear a bit.]

So... are all a these yours?

[lefteros]

[Greece shrugs.]

You might say that. They follow me, and I end up caring for them... but they're just as happy to go to someone else. It makes things easier for me.

[He chuckles and seems to be thinking about possibly taking the kitten.... ]

So you wouldn't mind this one comin' with me?

[lefteros]

They all need homes, but... Do you know how to care for them?

[ageaaquarius]

Shouldn't be too much to handle, right?

I mean, regular feedin's, givin' it plenty a water, makin' sure it's happy an' things like that. Easy.

[lefteros]

Yes. And letting it out before it makes a mess in your room.

That one's a little harder... some of the Instructors aren't fond of animals, but as long as you keep it quiet and hidden, you won't have any trouble.

[ageaaquarius]

Oh, right... I really won't be forgettin' about that.

Heh, don't worry about that. I know how to keep an animal in line. Plus, if I need to sneak him by one a the Instructors that isn't fond a animals, I could just... [He takes the edge of his cape and pulls it around his other arm, concealing the cat inside. :3]

[Greece raises his eyebrows at that, amused.]

That's much roomier than a pocket.
