[Oz spent what spare time he had in the library reading any book that caught his eye or he deemed interesting. Finding a new one to read today Oz picked it from the shelve as he went to find a seat, sitting down and opening the book to the first page. You seem enthralled by that particular tome. Is it on any specific topic? [said from around an armful of books. Rose is always up for expanding her literary horizons, even while simultaneously trying to bury her feeeeeeliiiiings in familiar subjects]

Well... it's nothing special, just on a certain subject I'll be learning once these finals are over, that's all.

[He turns over the page looking at it carefully, reading it for a moment before looking up and smiling.]

Might as well learn now, right?

I've always been a huge proponent of peremptory learning, as you might have guessed already. [she hefts the books in her arms a little with a wry smile]

The only shame of this place is that they seemed hell-bent on limiting us to two majors at most.

[destroyforalice]

But with the two majors you have so many classes to take, right?

[Many of the classes he knew he was taking he had never heard of before and they sounded pretty useful for him.]

Although I guess I can understand there might be more classes than that.

The work is hardly challenging enough to merit such an arbitrary cap. [if she's stuck here she wants to know everything she can. might as well see if any of this would be useful at home.]

I don't know, I think there's only so much could learn, so the cap wasn't so bad. [He pauses to think about it for the moment.] though I guess for some it might not be enough for them.

[bookshrew]

For some people the entire world wouldn't be enough. [she chuckles]

My problem is both limiting my options as well as being told what my capabilities should be. If I believe I'm able to handle more than two, why should they disagree with me?

[destroyforalice]

[He pauses to think about that, they have a point. If something thinks they can do more, why not test them to see.]

I don't think I can understand it, but I do think if you think you can, why don't you test you to see.

That's an excellent outlook to have. Now, if only the administration here shared that view.

It's unlikely that something like that will ever happen, but that doesn't mean you can't study it in places such as this library here.

Or take some creative measures to receive the additional knowledge that I crave. The possibilities are truly endless.

What kind of creative measures could there be?

[He closed his book for a moment, placing it lightly on the table, picking up the next one to read or flip through.]

Now that would be telling, wouldn't it? I need to keep some things up my sleeve still.

[destroyforalice]

I guess so. [He pauses for a moment.] So, how long have you been here for anyway?

[bookshrew]

Around three months, give or take a few days. It hasn't been eventful enough for me to faithfully record every day.

[destroyforalice]

Wait... you've been recording your time here everyday? Like a diary?
