[Dweia is heading off to the medical office to see Doctor Kadowaki about the apprenticeship, feel free to bump into her and talk to her. She's semi distracted by a book she's reading but if she's learned from last time it's to make sure she doesn't literally bump into anyone.]

[dragon age] dweia amell, [sonic] mighty the armadillo

[Mighty looks very excited and is heading towards the Training Grounds with a newsletter in hand. Unfortunately, he took a wrong turn. Luckily, the 1st floor is a circle! So, he's heading counter-clockwise until he reaches it.

He did not plan for the girl with her nose in a book. He's going too fast, though, and he inadvertently crashes into her leg.]

Yaaaa! S-Sorry, ma'am! I've just been bumping into all sorts of people lately.

[she saw him coming and she tried to dodge, really she did, but he was way too fast, she grabbed her leg and rubs it]

Ouch! Maker. [she winches a bit too] You might want to slow down a little then? [she lets out a sigh] But don't apologize. I have had worse hit me than that, I can assure you.

[she leans down a little, staring at him curiously] Though if I may be so bold as to ask, um, what are you exactly? [she wasn't trying to be rude of course, she was genuinely curious]

Yes, I should. I guess I got a little away just then. [He looks as though he's sizing her up. He doesn't look all that impressed.] I have to admit, I wouldn't know you to be so tough just by looking at you.

[By now, Mighty's already gotten used to the surprised look of classmates looking at him weirdly. He takes the question and her curiosity in stride.] I'm an armadillo. I here there's something called armadillons here, but they're bigger. I'm an armadillo. Mighty the Armadillo. You are?

[she smiles, she gets that a lot...though she is kinda hiding how much it really hurt] Guess I am just full of surprises.

Oh? I've never heard of an armadillo. I've read about the armadillons though, that must be confusing.

I am Dweia Amell. A human mage. It's nice to meet you.

I guess it must be. One guy mentioned them to me, so I've been explaining it to people whenever I can. I'm wondering if I'll ever get to see one in the training hall.

What was that? A mage, you don't say? Say, you wouldn't happen to be able to show me a quick trick or two? I've been curious about the type of magic the people here can do.

Maybe you will. Do you train there a lot?

Hmm. Well I suppose it can't hurt to show you one spell. Ah I know. [she grabs her staff from behind her] Don't worry, you won't feel anything. [she mentally thinks of the spell, Frost Weapons, as she raises her staff into the air, whatever Mighty uses as a weapon - his fists, his head, perhaps his whole body, will be surrounded by a frosty mist.]

It's a buff spell, though I didn't learn it here. Your attacks will be pretty cold for some time. Of course I can remove it if you wish.

Well, I've only just arrived here a few days ago. I've only begun classes, but I'm starting up my training again.

[He looks in awe as she casts her spell. His fists start to become frosty and misty, and he stares at them amazed.] Woah. So this is a buff spell? My punches will be even tougher now. Thanks!

No need to remove it. I think I'll use it for as long as I can. How long does it last? I plan on fighting a T-Rexaur.

I too only arrived this week, though I've been keeping up my training as much as possible.

[she places her staff back in the sheath behind her and nods] Hmm mm. It would usually only last until I'm too far away from the person I buffed, but here it seems to last a good half-hour before it wears off, I guess because magic is different here.

You should be careful though, T-Rexaurs are quite strong.

That's a good idea. I shouldn't neglect my training for too long. New school or not. [He rubs the back of his head sheepishly.]

Don't worry about me! I've fought dinosaurs back at home. I think I can handle a T-Rexaur on my own, especially now that I have your buff for half 'a hour. Hm, I wonder if the dinosaurs are different from back home, since you said the magic was.

I guess I'll have to figure out about them myself. I just want to be able to fight them before they're all gone. [He pulls out the school newsletter and points to the article that passingly mentions the T-Rexaur population going down in numbers.]

I just want to get the chance to find one before they're all gone. Hey now, you wouldn't happen to know they're strong from personal experience, would you?

Well if you feel you are capable... Just be careful though.

[she leans in to look at the newsletter] Ah I see, the newsletter article. I'm not sure whether that's true or not, most people have complained about the article being full of rumours...

And no, not personal experience unfortunately. I've just done some research.

Thanks for the concern. I'll be sure to be careful, miss!

[Mighty looks back at the newsletter curiously.] You mean to tell me that I was worried over a shortage for nothing? I suppose I could take it a little easy, then. I at least got one good laugh thanks to a stupid reaction from my friend.

Fascinating. So, are you taking some kind of monster classes or something or is researching monster just something you do?
