Pffft. Awesome!nottheleaderAugust 24 2011, 14:56:48 UTC
[He might not have noticed, but Kaldur certainly did. He was taking the day to visit some of the classes, late as he entered he was not attending yet, but wanted to learn.
But it was very hard indeed to not notice someone walking...like that. Missing such a large portion of their body. He's staring. It's rude. But he cannot help it.]
[Being caught doing something like that only makes you feel more embarrassed.]
I apologize for the rude behavior, sir. But I've never seen someone [missing half of their body and not concerned by it]...like you. I'll be less discourteous.
[And he realizes that probably sounded even worse. A diplomat, Kaldur is not.] I only meant that I had never seen a being with a portion of their body...visible?
[He might notice that Kaldur is staring...below his shoulder. Because he isn't sure where the head would be.]
Again, please accept my sincerest apologies. It's something that isn't usual for those of my home. I should not have stared so rudely.
[Aaand as if a switch had been pressed, he suddenly turns visible again. He isn't... looking really well though.]
Ah- there's no need to apologize, son. I'm afraid I am not sure of what's going on. But then again, there have been people that reported strange things happening to them lately...
Perhaps it is a progression of the magic you spoke of? [Kaldur isn't exactly sure on how the magic here works, but it is similar to the magic used by his own people.]
I only arrived here some days ago. I thought today might be a good one for visiting the classrooms, as I am not yet...enrolled, I believe. My name is Kaldur'ahm.
[A teacher. Good that he is so kind and helpful. And the last name Kent. Like Conner. A coincidence given how Conner gained the last name. Kaldur smiles, but doesn't explain what he finds amusing.]
Thank you for the kind offer. I was looking for the Foreign Language classroom? I saw a classroom for English close by so I thought it might be near here.
[The halls are a little confusing with the directions he was given.]
I would be grateful for your guidance, Mr. Kent. [Respectful as always.]
Would you happen to know which languages are taught in that class? [English has it's own classrooms, so Kaldur assumes it's the common language for this country.]
If that is what you prefer...Clark. [It seems Mr Kent--Clark--is a rather laid back teacher.] English itself is a second language to me, so I find myself wondering what languages are taught here.
[He might think that explains how formal Kaldur is when speaking, but that's just how he is.]
I am fortunate to be able to observe what languages being taught are being taught now, before they are altered.

[Unless him being alien is that obvious, but he doubts it.]

It seems the matter has fixed itself. [And now he can see that the man is actually quite tall.]
Strange things? [He's noticed some oddities, but] I've only been here a short time. I'm not exactly sure what is considered "normal."

It's actually quite a normal place, once you get used to the magic... but being invisible it's not a thing I am usually able to do.
You're new in this place, then?

It is indeed, and it's also near my own classroom. Would you like me to guide you?

Ah, it actually changes. Each semester, I believe.

It is? I wouldn't have been able to tell, myself. You've a good grasp of the language as far as I've seen.
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have any trouble learning the language taught.
