Action post 1. In which Marvelous doesn't know what's going on

[Wherever this place was (Fisherman something or other), Marvelous wasn't exactly thrilled by it. All he knew was he woke up, there were papers with him that he glanced over before throwing them in a trash bin and walking out on his own into the town itself

[Max is walking down the street, a backpack over her shoulder as her fingers nimbly hit a small, smartphone looking device as she goes along. She seems engrossed in it, but looks up when she notices someone else heading in the opposite direction. His confusion is evident, and she doesn't recognize him. Considering she had done a pretty thorough hacking into the names and IDs of all she could, she's curious. Maybe he's new?]

[Glance over and....pink hair?]

Know anywhere around here to get something to eat?

[Definitely pink hair.]

Yeah, there's a cafe not too far away. [Probably new and no sense in sugar coating it.] Are you from here, this world I mean?

[He grins at her. Catches on quick it seems. Or he really stands out compared to the natives of this place.]

I don't recognize this place. Which world are we on?

[Max smirks. Either he thinks this is a game, which she'll feel a bit bad for being amused at, or he's from a world where this experience isn't exactly rare.]

Kind of hard to say, sometimes it feels like it's a video game. I'll explain what I can, if you want, over food. S'not too far.

[He has no idea what a video game is so he won't even acknowledge the statement. What he did hear was her saying the word 'food.']

[She leads him over to a small cafe, one that's quite nice inside. One they find a booth, she motions to a menu. He probably doesn't have any Gil here, yet, she figures.]

So, would you like a short version or long version before eating?

[Yep. She's paying for it. Sitting down with the strange pink haired girl, Marvelous glances at the menu, noting that it, along with everything else here, was written in English. As long as he finds the meat, it didn't matter to him the language.]

[Max is beginning to suspect from the way he speaks and the way he's staring at the menu, that he might not recognize the words. She will call him out on this.]

Hm? [He actually read English fine but, it was some of the words that were slightly strange to him. Specifically..]

What's a chocobo?

[Well, she just rethinks her theory. Just the general "this word is awkward".]

Big flightless bird, think of somethin' like an emu or ostrich for this world.

[More confusion is written on his face. He's never been anywhere on Earth other than Japan so those words are completely foreign to him as well.]

[Max grabs her N-tab, the small smartphone like device, and brings up an image of a typical yellow chocobo.]

This is a Chocobo.

[Taking the device in hand, Marvelous looked at it.

It looked like a giant yellow chicken. Well, it was meat.]

They taste good?

[She smirks, teasingly.]
