[ Both the arrival and the letter, startling as they were- gave Mami both negative and positive feelings, and after thinking it over, she decided to focus on the positive. As worried as she was for what mind be happening back home and especially over what Akemi Homura might do, even if she hopes that threat had some effect- thinking about it made her realize; this is a new opportunity, isn't it? No Witches to fight every day, meaning this leaves time for everything else, everything that she didn't have time for back home- and classes. She still had school, but that seemed natural, and she even got to comply a class schedule of her own, so she didn't mind. Above all, this was a new and refreshing opportunity. All she had to truly worry about was not using too much magic, or else, without Witches and without Grief Seeds, she wouldn't be able to clear her Soul Gem; but that was alright. Somehow that was the last thing on her mind. It was rare for her to feel so hopeful. Was she happy? Not really. And yet... yes, that's right. It was hope, what she felt. And maybe she shouldn't have, really... yet she couldn't help it. The only thing that got a bitter smile out of her was one line- a school for mercenaries, was it? How fitting. So combat is not something she can escape. ]

[ And so Mami can be found all around the Gardens, and, well- exploring would be the right word. She looks around curiously from when she enters the lobby to when she goes searching around taking in her new surroundings, occasionally stopping, then standing and simply staring at things; she makes a sort of mental map of everything she sees as she explores, taking note of anything that might be important, for future reference.
She'll start looking a bit lost eventually, wandering around aimlessly and ending up in places she has already been in and then leaving, but she won't say anything and seem more amused by it every time than frustrated or worried. Though she'll make her way to the dorm eventually; one might catch her either as she's walking there or just as she is beginning to open the door and walk in.
Throughout all this, she looks startlingly and utterly calm, absolutely nothing like someone who just arrived a few minutes ago would be. ]
