[As much as Tom hated to admit it, exercising in the Boxing room just wasn't cutting it out for him. Some of his colleagues suggested that he should get a workout in the training center, but as Tom saw it? That was less a workout and more a "excuse in killing monsters." The pacifist in him wouldn't agree to unnecessary fighting ( Read more... )

[As if trolling on the BBS wasn't good enough right? Nope! Honestly, Seifer isn't that much of a troll but in this case... when the OPPORTUNITY PRESENTS ITSELF? No way in hell is he just going to pass it up.

Seifer's heading out of the pool himself after a hard, long series of laps. He's gotta get on those anger management courses, right? So what better way than doing something like challenging himself through swimming to take his mind off of all the bullshit; he's gotten pretty sick of being at the Training Center every other day, the monsters in there hardly a challenge for him now (T-rexaurs excluded...). Being under house arrest doesn't help either, he can't leave Garden grounds to dick around in a nearby forest or two for something different.

Seifer goes to where he dropped his towel and rubs it over his hair a few times. It's left to drape over a shoulder and Seifer only glances at Tom in passing. He can tell the guy is thinking about whether he should go in or not, that he's stalling. He gets one step past Tom and then steps ( ... )

[Aw crap---

Tom doesn't have time to react before he falls face-first into the water. He sputters as soon as his head bobs above the water and... well, he's not drowning. Or sinking below the water. Securing himself against the edge of the pool, it's all Tom can do to glare at Seifer.]

What the hell was that for, man?

[On the upside... at least Tom can swim?]

[Seifer looks down at him with a smirk playing on his lips.]

Call it doin' you a favor. No need to thank me just yet.

[Kids these days!]

Oh? I think you might want to re-think that theory a little... [Hey, Seifer's already dressed for swimming. He surely wouldn't mind some more water being splashed at him, would he? All's fair in shoving and... water fights?]

[Takes the splashing LIKE A MAN but steps a little further away from the edge of the pool.]

Now now, Instructor, you wouldn't want any kids slippin' and falling from the mess you're making.

[Okay, maybe Seifer will play his game. Just once. He slides his foot sideways through the water to throw it back in Tom's face.]

[He can't help laughing as he ducks underwater to avoid the incoming blast. Once he comes up again, he floats on his back and gives Seifer a salute.]

You know what, Almasy? You're right; we really shouldn't. Not while the kids're watching...

So how about tonight? You, me, and this big empty pool right here?

Pass. I got better things to do than go skinny dippin' with another guy. And at night no less.

[Oh. Oh. That makes Seifer pause and then narrows his eyes down in Tom's direction.]

Didn't know you were keepin' tabs on me, instructor.

I don't. [Eyebrow raise.] Unless you'd like me to. I just hear things from the grapevine.

Try not to drown.

[Turns and begins to head off.]

[Well that was an interesting experience. Tom's gonna have to remember that for later...

In the meantime, however, he's going to enjoy his swim. And quite possibly make a mental note to bother Seifer later. The kid's kind of grumpy for someone from this world.]
