SCENARIO TWO--No I'm kidding Scenario One

[brightsiding]

Ah..?! [ Vanille glances up from her own homework (which she was about to doze off on) and looks over Cissie first, then her things- almost as if she's trying to decide what exactly it was she was asking her. She blinks, shakes her head to fight off the sleep trying to take her over, and nods. ]

Sure! I can! [ She has no idea what she asked her to do, but she's sure she can do it... ]

[alwaysanarcher]

Thanks! I promise I'll be right back!

[She bites her lip, then amends:] With tea or coffee? I have a feeling it's gonna be a long day.

[brightsiding]

Ah... Tea, maybe? [ She sighs, slumping a little. ]

Thanks! I'll, ah... [ She giggles a little, sheepishly. ] Make sure to stay up long enough to make sure nothing happens while you're gone.

[alwaysanarcher]

That'd help, yeah.

[Off she goes! Thankfully, it doesn't take her too long to come back with two mugs of hot herbal tea. Cissie sets Vanille's cup carefully on the table and offers a smile.] I hope that helps! I heard it's the best for staying awake.

[brightsiding]

That's good! Thanks a bunch! [ She leans over it, sniffs at it, makes a face as if she's unsure about this... But then takes a sip.

And smiles. ] That's not bad! You know your stuff, huh?

I try. [She beams, glancing back at her books before focusing all of her attention on Vanille.] My mom's boyfriend was a big fan, so we used to make some now and then.

[brightsiding]

Sounds like you had a good teacher, then!

[ She giggles, takes another sip, and sighs. ] I feel like I'm waking up already! [ Kind of. ]

Ah, so... Have a lot of homework?

[alwaysanarcher]

Unfortunately. [She makes a face, glancing back at her stuff.] Some of it's for fun, but... not a whole lot. Looks like you've got quite a load too.

You'd think they'd lighten up, what with Homecoming around... and you were nominated too, weren't you?

[brightsiding]

For fun? [ She's doing homework for fun? (FREAK! Okay not really, but, why would she do that for fun? There were plenty of other things around Garden that were fun that weren't studying...) ]

Well, I guess they did cancel classes, but, we still have a lot of work left over from before... At least it's a nice break!

And yeah, I did! I've been having to do stuff for that, too... [ Yaaawns. ]

Like, reading some of the books. [They're not that bad! Really!]

Hey, if you need any help for last-minute stuff, I've totally got your back. I know campaigning can be pretty rough - a bunch of my friends did it back home - so I don't mind pitching in every now and then.

[brightsiding]

I only read what we have to. [ There's nothing wrong with reading, though! Except that it's so... Passive, and you sit down and do it... ]

[ She stops to think for a moment... ] Well... I don't know if I need anything now, but, I might later? I'm done with the posters and Aang already handed out cookies... I'm not too sure there's much else to be done.

Nothing wrong with that! I know my best friends think like that too.

[Hmmm... if there's not much else left campaigning-wise...] Then why don't I treat you to a mani-pedi the night before? It'll be a fun way to de-stress from everything.

[brightsiding]

[ She laughs. ] Not that there's anything wrong with reading for fun, I guess? As long as you're having fun doing it, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks!

Ah... A... Many... Pedy?

[Cissie grins, pointing to her hands and toes.] It's short for "a manicure and pedicure." There's this great salon in Balamb that does your nails for pretty cheap, so I was planning on heading there myself... but it's way more fun when you bring a friend.

[brightsiding]

Ooh! [ She... Takes a moment to look at her own fingernails. Clean, but not exactly pretty. ]

I'd love to go then! It'll be fun..!

[ Actual fun, and not reading-a-book fun! ]
