[Akihiko goes to the cafeteria every morning before his classes, half to fill his stomach and half to eavesdrop on the other cadets at Garden. When he passes Alice, he realizes this is a face he hasn't seen before.]

... You're new?

[exorcizing]

[She glances up, a little startled that someone spoke to her, and gives solemn nod.]

I am. [she pauses, fingering the pages of her bible] Is it that obvious?

[myhonor]

Kinda. Haven't seen you around before, and I've been making a point of remembering faces.

I, uh, didn't want to put you on the spot or anything.

[exorcizing]

Oh. [Her expression warms considerably, and she smiles softly.] That seems like a wonderful idea, remembering faces. Perhaps you'd like a name to go with this face?

[myhonor]

Uh... well... yeah. [He stops himself before he can sound too bumbling.] Yeah, that'd help.

[exorcizing]

[The way he answers causes her to chuckle softly.] I'm Alice Elliot. May I ask your name?

[myhonor]

Akihiko Sanada.

[He's lost track of how many times he's introduced himself to people here. It was strange, in a way, for someone who'd been... accustomed to others knowing who he was. But it wasn't a bad thing to be unknown.]

Nice to meet you.

[exorcizing]

[She nods her head slightly] It's nice to meet you, too. I hope I'm not keeping you from acquiring your breakfast.

[myhonor]

It's no problem. I usually drop by the cafeteria for information, rather than food.

[exorcizing]

[there's a slight tilt of her head] I never would have guessed. The cafeteria doesn't really seem like the place to gather information.

[myhonor]

I guess not, but people like to talk over food. All I do is listen.

Ah, I see. Do you ever learn anything of importance?
