[In the quad, Grell has just returned from town, sporting a new hairstyle due to unfortunate events that singed her hair.

She's SULKING because this is the first time since entering the Shinigami Dispatch Society has she cut her hair. Trim, sure, but cut?! NEVER

[Unfortunately, since this IS Equius, he's just going to sit beneath his blue umbrella, and stare at her.]

[Puts away her mirror and spots a shade of blue from the corner of her eyes, thinking it was Marco. Gets a good look and realizes it's just another horned cadet. With a blue umbrella.]

Is it going to rain?! [Looks up at the sky, hoping it won't.]

[That's a dumb question, Grell. There are no clouds in the sky. He'd actually have the umbrella put away, if that was the case.]

I simply have no desire to become sunburned like the lowbloods have been.

I hear there is sunblock for that. [For once, she isn't being snarky. There is no such thing as sunblock in her time!] I'd like to find some, myself.

[He wordlessly produces a small bottle of sunblock from his pocket and holds it out to her. It's sort of empty - he might have squeezed it a bit too hard when he was putting it on.]

[He's not being over-zealous and paranoid about the sun, nooooo. Not at all]

[Blinks at the offered bottle, taking it and reads the label.]

This is sunblock... [Sniffs it. Not a bad scent! Takes a decent amount for her arms before handing it back, coating her bare arms.] And this will protect my delicate skin?

That is what it says it will do. But I prefer not to take chances.

[Hence the umbrella.]

[Looks to the umbrella] You might do best with a parasol, dear. All that vinyl attracts so much heat! Not even the GOOD kind.

[he gives her a blank stare, slowly tilting his head back to look up at the umbrella] A parasol? What is that?

An umbrella of sorts, but made of cloth. [Sure, women used it mostly, but she isn't going to mention that.] Much better protection than that material. [Points to his umbrella.]

Oh. [He tilts his head to the side, considering that.] I was unaware of such things. Trolls largely do not concern themselves with such matters. Do you know where I may purchase such a thing?

Unfortunately I don't. There must be somewhere in town that would.

From Alternia. Another human mentioned fairy tales earlier today, but I highly doubt we're the same thing. And it's not odd at all. We're primarily a nocturnal species, as the harsh Alterian sun burns our eyes and skin, as a member of the blue blooded nobility, my eyes and skin are particularly sensitive.

Unfortunately, I do not have much by way of currency yet. This will simply have to suffice until then.
