[BBS/Action] She's tired of the old man dress

Does anyone know a good place to pick up clothes? I've seen so many different kinds with everyone here, and I'd like to get something new too. I haven't been out of Garden much because of my medication, so I'd appreciate any help.

[Finds Maria in the library, noticing her BBS post. It was really just a guess that she would be there. Sits next to her in a chair, silent at first. He hasn't seen her in a few days because he wanted some alone time. That last trip really hit home for him, although his talk with Espio helped. A lot.]

[Maria looks a mix of surprised and relieved to see him. Locking himself in his room had worried her, but without knowing many males, she hadn't really had a chance to ask them to go check on him. Which is why he has her immediate attention, even before he speaks.]

Are you okay?

[Gives her a small nod. He didn't mean to worry her. Just needed some thinking time.]

Are you alright?

[ACTION]

I'm fine. I'm worried about you. You disappeared for a while, then locked yourself in your dorm...

What's wrong?

Sorry...I just... [Looks to the side, slightly frowning.] Remember how I said that the time compression is affecting most off-worlders?

Yes, I remember.

I went back to Espio's world. There was another version of myself there. He destroyed the Special Zone... [Balls his fist up in anger, frustration...] I know that's not really me, but...I was like that once.

[Turns his attention to her.] I'm not sure, but...if you existed for him, it may have never happened... [Maria never existing. He couldn't fathom that.]

'No way would I have done that if I forgot about Maria's promise...'

[Maria looks understandably horrified, putting a hand over her mouth. After a moment, her free one goes over to squeeze Shadow's tightly.]

That's horrible...

[He doesn't outwardly react to her hand being there, yet he doesn't remove it. It feels...nice. Kind of grounding.]

We couldn't do anything about it. Pretty sure we weren't supposed to. [Pauses for a moment.] I needed to think all that over. I didn't mean to worry you.

[She moves her other hand, gripping his tightly and holding it up near her face.]

You would never do anything like that. I know you wouldn't. You may have done some bad things, Shadow, but I know who you really are deep down. Even if you don't show it to people, you're a very gentle, caring person. You'll do what's right. I know that.

[His eyes soften, wanting to believe her. Maybe somewhere in side himself he does, but after what he saw...

Squeezes her hand back, upturning his lips. Nods softly. Her words are all that really matter.] I'll be around more.

Good. Then I won't have to worry about you so much.

[She leans forward, placing a light kiss between his ears, smiling brightly now.]

[She's really good at making him flustered. At least she's happy, though.]

Right... [Rubs the back of his neck, playing off his tinge.] Did I miss anything?

[ACTION] So many edits.

Not really. [Though he might note the cat hair on her dress.]

...why are there white hairs? [Plucks a few from her shoulder.]

Greece found a lot of stray kittens. I took a couple of them in.
