[Locked to Marco]

Feb 23, 2011 23:05

[Well this day had just gone swimmingly.

After coming back from the training grounds with Espio, Tobias had excused himself and left, looking around for his father. His search had eventually led to Marco's room, and the boy had simply gone in -- he was sure the pirate wouldn't mind, especially after hearing what he had to say.]

Anytime kiddo. [Looks up from the book and moves over so Tobias can sit. He's wearing his glasses when in human form, but after moving, switches back to phoenix. It's the start of moulting season so there's extra little blue feathers all over driving him a little nuts.]

[That's fine: Tobias is comforted by snuggling into the bird anyway.

He explains what happened earlier, and his own fears of having done something wrong yet again.]

...I had a lot of practice throwing things, but I didn't know he'd get angry over it.

Croo. [Snuggles and pets with a wing, being forced to switch back because talking is a pain like that.]

He's just a little jealous kiddo. He'll get over it.

I don't think he will.

I liked the knife, because... well, I can actually throw things pretty well, and maybe I can use it to keep people trying to attack me from getting too close.

But I don't want to make Espio hate me again.

Espio's spreading himself too thin if you ask me anyway. No one person can be an entire team. It's why we have family, nakama, crews. I can't drive. I can't draw. And I'll never able to use guns or swords, or swim. But I'll leave that up to my nakama. Espio probably feels like he has to do it all himself right now. Give him a little time and gradually remind him that he has lots of things you can't do and thus it's perfectly fine for the other way around too, eh?

I guess.

[He doesn't seem very convinced, but just snuggles into Marco a bit for comfort.]

[Wraps wings around and leans long phoenix neck against.]

Croo. [Reassures him it'll be okay.]

I hope it will. But I don't think he'd just "get over" it that easily.

[He fiddles with Marco's feathers a bit.]

[Fluffles the feathers like nuts. This just makes them shed more and Marco gives him a dour look.]

[Which gets an amused noise and more fiddling.]

[More moulting. Oh god why. He just wants to hide under a blanket until Spring.]

It could be worse.

At least they're soft.

[Snuggles back. He loves you anyway, even molting.]
