Well, I already know how to fight and I'm learning the gunblade but this will be awesome.

Extra practice's always good. After all, what happens if someone manages to knock the gunblade out of your hand? [Tom knows that's unlikely, but still.] Then you'll at least know how to defend yourself with your fists.
