eiko o1: exploring around the Garden

Dec 09, 2010 00:34

[Is Eiko annoyed at this whole time compression thing? Oh yes, Eiko is annoyed. She wants to go back to Lindblum, darn it, and be with her new Mother and Father ( Read more... )

[Ryu can't help but smile at the sight. He has an idea of how she must feel on seeing the Garden for the first time.]

I'm guessing you aren't lost.

Nope! Just looking around!

Hey, where do you think I should go next?

The Quad is a nice place, if you haven't been there yet.

[She shakes her head.]

I haven't been there yet. What's a "Quad" used for? And "Parking," I don't know what that is, either.

Sometimes it's used as a meeting place or a celebration. I just use it to relax. I guess you're also from a world where they don't have Cars, huh? They're these big metal things with wheels. If you use one, you can get where you need to really fast, but they smell awful. The cars are kept in the parking garage when not in use.

Oh, I see! Is it outdoors, then?

And "cars" kinda sound like the Lindblum aircabs or the castle trolleys... Regent - I mean, Father... Father likes machines and stuff, so Lindblum has a lot of weird machinery.

Your father sounds like my friend Momo. She loves all sorts of weird machines and robots.

It would be better to see than explain, don't you think?

Okay then! Let's go!

[She zooms off, then after a moment she zooms back.]

Hurry up! You have to show me where I'm going!

Alright, alright. Here, follow me.

[He sets off in the direction of the map.]

Just read this to know which way to go. It helped me a lot ever since I arrived.

I already saw that. Don't you know how to be a guide?

dragon_savior December 9 2010, 15:32:46 UTC
Drifter, fisherman, bodyguard, personal trainer, village leader... Nope, I've never been a guide to anyone before.

It's okay. Now you can learn how! Take me to each area in turn and describe it to me. That'll be a good start!

Alright, how about... The dorms? Have you been given a room assignment yet?

Uh-huh. B113, I think.

[He motions for her to follow, talking as he walks along.]

I hope you don't mind sharing space, there's usually two cadets assigned to a dorm. I had my own place for awhile, then I met Subaru. We didn't get to know each other all that well before he disappeared.

Some people end up vanishing from the Garden, I'm personally hoping it ends up being back home.

[For both Subaru and Tina's sake.]

You might meet my new room mate one of these days. Short, red, strong as an ox, and carries something called the Master Emerald with him. His name is Knuckles. I'm afraid I don't know if anyone else is assigned to your room.

It's easy enough to find your room, the first number refers to what floor it's on, and the letter refers to which hall.

[Eiko considers that for a moment, before gasping a little and jumping on the spot.]

So people disappear?! But if time compression can bring me into this world, it could put you on Gaia! People could end up anywhere!

[She's too distracted by that to ask how to find out if she had a roommate or not.]
