[Event Action] Dormitory Defense

Nov 30, 2010 15:00

Bring it on!

[So echoes the challenge issued by the cocky Instructor standing outside the dormitory, fists balled and a grin on his face as he stands guard over the door. Come close enough or catch his attention and he has this to say:]I'll hold down the fort here. Anyone who needs shelter or safety can camp out in the rooms. Anyone who's hurt, ( Read more... )

[Minato just nods at this. If this Instructor expected more of a reaction, he should have better luck with Junpei or Akihiko... wherever they were. Still, he can tell he's taking the best course of action.]

Got it, sir. Though, will you be fine guarding the dorms by yourself?

[SeeD or no, those Blue Dragons look nasty and they can attack in pairs.]

[Reactions mean nothing, actions mean everything. So long as everyone comes through all right, they can sneer and mock if they want to. But he does give the question the respect of a detailed answer.]

Worst that can happen, I'll have to fight defensively till enough people can rally and get it under control. Got a trick or two I can pull out if I have to.

[Minato just had to know, and he's glad he got a detailed answer for that. Anyway, he's been in this world long enough to know no one makes SeeD on bravado alone.]

Don't we all?

[He turns and skewers the Bite Bug that was about to charge at his back. He could have summoned a Persona, but best to save them for when he really needs it - this could be a long day.]

...we'll have to secure our supplies once everyone's accounted for, though.

Ugh. Yes. We need a clear path from here to the Infirmary, and people out canvassing the likely safe spots. Pick one?

[Yes, he'd just charged in without a plan. Heroes don't need plans!]

[No, heroes do need plans! Especially when the opposition has new and exciting ways to end you.

...not that he'll ever say that out loud, since securing a shelter should by all rights be the main priority in these situations.]

I'll need more people to help with either, but there should be enough running around to help out on that.

I'll still bring the wounded here until the path's secured, of course.

Call it just another field test.

[And so will the instructor. He's keeping in mind who's doing what during this whole thing, and watching the cadets curiously -- even though there's nothing he'd enjoy more than getting out there in the thick of it and cutting lose. Heroes always do the right thing!]

Good. I do well on field tests.

[True, he'd rather have more people covering him, but he can join in with others along the way, and there are enough people to get things under control with a little organization. He salutes Snow, as per protocol, before running off towards the infirmary and to get whoever's on the way to help out.]
