Seriously, tonight was amazing.
Thanks to my parents, Jon and I had an actual date night. A dinner to focus on each other, and not deal with the kids, the adoption, the dogs . . . just us. I definitely suggest it. We're going to try to do this once a month although I can already see us breaking that in about 4 months when we're back to being over our heads.
After dinner, we went to the Elton John / Billy Joel concert. Amazing is a word that is an understatement of their performances. Thanks to my firm doing the advertising for the tour, and my job as project manager, we had front row seats . . . i had goosebumps. And what made it even MORE amazing?? Elton John gave ME a shout-out in the middle of the show as a thank-you for helping get people in the seats with "beautiful and elegant designs" Meeting them was good enough but I mean, wow. . .
I had to write about that, it was remarkable!
We have the house to ourselves tonight! Well, just us and the dogs. I should probably capitalize on this situation!
