Crappy cars, snow, and Naruto.

I am supposed to be at work today, but due to a mixture of car and weather issues, I'm stuck at home and missing out on a full days' pay.  Whoopie.  At least I get to use the time to catch up on class work.

As I've been occupied with a final project for one of my classes I haven't been making any progress on what I want to be doing.  Thi class project is turning out pretty sweet, though, I'm probably putting more effort into it than I'm going to get points for.

Basically, each student has been given a list of 15 early humans (from the phylogenies of Australopithecus, Homo, Sahelanthropus, and Orrorin) and we're to make a trading card for each including the name, when they existed, where, physical data, and all that rot.  I've taken it one step further and included drawings for each, and I created a template in the style of a semi-traditional trading card.  I'll also be including a map and drawn phylogeny tree (showing the relationship between each).

I'll load one of two of the cards here when I'm done to give a better idea of what I'm rattling on about.

Also!  I've been working on catching up on the anime 'Naruto.'  Seeing as they're over 200 episodes, not including the 3 movies (that I've already seen thanks to my roommate) and 'Naruto: Shippuuden' it's probably going to take me quite a bit longer.  I'm in the 80's at the moment, and am very glad for the fact that I gave the original (w/ subtitles) version a chance; I almost missed out on it completely due to the lousy voice actors they chose for the English version.  I'm quite happy that I was forced to watch it in Japanese, now.

Blessing of the Post: May you never be stuck with a crappy car over twenty years old that refuses to drive in the snow, or just plain refuse to start at all when the weather becomes too cold.  Especially not a Ford.

crappy car, naruto, anthropology
