So I was looking at entries from a year ago and stumbled across this from an entry in 2007:
"This year I made no resolutions to better myself. I figured since my track record for doing such things leaves much to be desired, I'd rather not waste my time. Instead I resolve to get the iron canopy bed I have been wanting for the past 7 years or so. Yep. When all else fails, just resolve to selfish shopping."
I'm sure it will come as no surprise to find out that my resolve for selfish shopping has also failed.
*head/desk*
So.. with my most recent failure, my new resolution is this:
*Gain lots of weight. (fat people are supposed to be jolly like santa, right?)
*Be selfish. (me, me, me)
*Become arrogant. (It makes Jareth more appealing, why not me?)
*Make more enemies. (become the person people love to hate)
*Become a hermit. (people hate old people who are hermits, better grab a cane and threaten the neighbors kids to stay off my patch of concrete)
*Spend more. Save less. (I will only drink those icky yuppie starbucks drinks. I need to learn the slang tho)
*Teach Kindergoth how to build explosives. (this shouldnt take too long)
*Take up smoking on a regular basis. (cloves only of course, anything els, bleh)
*Take up drinking on a regular basis as well (but only when I'm alone)
*Not clean house the entire year. (no matter how cluttered it gets)
*Learn to play the game... (nuff said...)
I figure since I can't keep any resolutions to save my life, I will make these my resolutions and therefore finally end up being a better person in the long run. Reverse psychology. *nods*
(Unless my reverse psychology gets reversed and then oh my god, time for brain-washing. Ok.. now I am over thinking this..)
In 2009, we will see just how where I'm at.
