Get these comments in scale - the best teams at the end of the season are often NOT those who hit the decks running, so just bear in mind there are still 15 games to go for teams to come around.
that said, there are turkeys that remain so, and there are teams who have built from the draft and from free agency, so here goes on the tape I managed to get.
As always if YOUR team in not mentioned - buzz me and I'll tell it as I see it - pretty or not!
Seahawks. As advertised, and they've already adjusted to the 'rule emphasis' which was aimed directly at the Legion of Boom.
Packers - getting older.....
NFC Least. The Eagles might look like they can rest easy, but remember their O-Line is crumbling.
Jacksonville - toast.
The Redskins (and I will continue to use their name until the owner cares to relinquish it, with respect to my many original peoples friends!) - toast. RG 2.4 has been hobdayed and may not last the season.
Giants - last season, they started SO badly, many thought Tom C. was not likely to last the season, but after such a comprehensive spanking by Detroit, and a totally lacklustre pre-season, they already look like they are in deep cack. Eli is patently not in tune with the new offensive system at all, and given his previous 3 years at the bottom of QB stats, how long before NYG take a look at options?
Cowboys - limp laundry - rinse and repeat, except this year they REALLY have NO D, and a couple of injuries won't help either.....
Jets look like they are REALLY HOPING Geno is the guy. Good luck with that. Oakland are still suffering cap crap fallout - Al was a hero, but could not beat the NFL bank in the end.
Vikings look like they are on the cusp. Talent in all areas.
Bengals - huge road win, from a solid looking roster.
Ravens - Ricegate will kill them for a few weeks. He should be shunned and left to get on with it. There is no fair trial by video. The Team and the NFL acted swiftly to distance themselves from him, but the organization now has a $5m cap issue which may hamper them next season too.....
How on earth did Miami manage over 30 points against the Patriots with a totally underwhelming Tannehill at the helm?
How on earth did the Patriots?.....
Brady may be over the hill - still better than most though.....
Falcons surprised me and a few others, but Ryan is a damned good QB. Their D is like a sieve, though, and shoot-outs will go either way...
Saints defense needs to lock down better.
I tipped Tampa to beat the Panthers even with Superman playing, so all the more surprising the backup showed his colours in such convincing fashion, and not good news for the Bucs.
Chiefs. Spend money. Two players out already won't help with your schedule.
Rams. Move the franchise. Toast.
Chicago. Cutler. Kepp im upright and he'll get you there.
Peyton looks good enough and Denver have added even more toys.
How about them Cowboys. Crap - NO D whatsoever, and Romo not a great help either.....
San Diego had a chance to lock the game away, but the Cardinals (one of my sleeper teams), are going to be tough to beat in the desert.
If I missed anyone, it ain't because I don't care!
Blessings
Trevor
