i was thinking of when i lived in italy and how all of my pictures are gone. i was thinking of when i went to visit dachau and how terrible it was. and i was thinking about how even though it was an absolutely terrifying place, that there were morning glory flowers pushing up through the wire fences here and there. and how even in a place as desolate and horrible as that, beautiful things can grow.
