The leaves on the oldest tree in my neighbor's yard; in all its' enormity and grace; are an unspeakable, stunning scarlet. This is the kind of color that seems, almost, to have texture. To radiate light, in and of itself. Its' brilliance is the kind we find in the heart of nature, but have been trained to think of as chemical- it's interesting

This is what happens when a bookworm/research fiend becomes a reformed television snob! (And also happens to have a past in theatre.) I tend to research performers & director/creators of/from the select shows I really like; especially those who interest me an extra-lot for whatever reason. Generally, with the performers, its' a hunch based on their stunning performance in one role; Phillip Seymour-Hoffman is a long-term example of this; and it balloons into a massive sort of crush on their intelligence as people & actors, after reading various interviews & watching them talk about performing, etc. Although Mr. Marsters' all-around swoon-worthiness does not hurt! There's actually a very elusive (aka: I haven't found it yet) clip of him singing with Amber Benson. Which... just... well, the very thought of seeing such a thing is orgasm-worthy for me. Did you know Tony Head has cd/s as well? His most recent release a lot more easily findable, though. Mr. Marsters was in a band- did solo stuff- is in a different band now, etc. But it's his solo work that I love the most; and that was incredibly hard to find & cost a pretty penny (or, well, lots of them) when I did!
Hrrrmmm. Have I something to lure you out to visit me, before I depart for other coasts again?! A photo studio with a silver floor; light machines & other new photo toys/tech-geeky things; James Marsters music to burn. You know you want to play! (Well, hopefully with me, as well! But I can be a devious creature.) Not that I don't want to fly you out to Portland someday! Just that I'm also going to post about using these next weeks to take as many photos of D.C.-area (or close) people... and coming here would definitely be easier than there. And we're overdue- and- well, lots of mushy stuff I'm sure you'll manage to inspire in me with your later response!
I should really just refer you to the dvd extra about the musical- it's nearly as fun to watch as the episode itself, and almost an hour long. That- and the questions James Marsters answers monthly on his site (which tend to be achingly interesting & classy!)- are where I learned the most about his music obsessions & career. (A lot of the Buffy cast have or do sing professionally, actually!) And take your time with that more meaty reply- you're probably in some dreamy youtube heaven right now, looking up all the different clips of a certain lovely man singing! In the meantime: I heart YOU! And James Marsters. And hey- looks like you both heart me, too- how lucky can a girl get?!!
Another thing I REALLY WANT that costs a pretty penny, because she hasn't found an agency to represent/release the film: The movie Chance, written/directed/starring Amber Benson, and co-starring- yes- James Marsters. AGHH! I would like to marry them both, please. PLEASE?! You can come, too!

has been writing fantasy novels of sorts, recently!
i don't remember a ton of details just now, but i *think* she's mostly she's co-writing w/ them with a male writer she really admires. and yeah!- she's actually written/directed several films; she wrote the one w/ james marsters co-starring, during her downtime on the buffy set, actually. the whole story behind it just makes me love her more, as it has to do with feminism & strong women roles & her being a booky-scratching-in-her-notebook nerd. awww & double awww! (did you ever get to see GirlTrash? Along with five zillion other sexy queer women/icons, she was in that too. Angela Robinson is a great director, so I've been looking forward to finally seeing it!) *ahem- yes, i have a bit of a crush!* at any rate: we obviously need to have a geek-out-fest together, regarding the incredibly talented actors in joss whedon's world! I mean, we've only gotten started, really... *physically. restraining. self. from. bringing. up. sir. seth. greeeeen...!* (um, oops.)
i stand proudly beside you, in the same geeky phenomenon of admiring actors who have depth & character all the more- and thus getting crushed-out to a whole other level! it makes sense, though, don't feel bad about it- for example: james marsters passions & music give someone real reason to feel connected to him, aside from a sexy faux british accent & inhumanly gorgeous facial structure. be not ashamed, morgan! be thee proud of your giggles & crush-wiggles! (i, for one, am sure any celebrity would be pleased to see how cute you are when enthralled.)
