The coolest thing happened to me yesterday. I saw Buffy and Tara talking and getting coffee. This was the perfect opportunity to start a conversation with Tara about magic. I ran up to both of them said hello, and then got my caffiene fix. We found a table, sat in a few seconds of uncomfortable silence until what I wanted to say burst out of me. "I saw you at Wicca group last week. Have you been practicing long?" She proceeded to tell me that her mom was a witch and taught her stuff. That comment made me a bit jealous just because my mom and I never bond, and she hates/doesn't believe in my witchcraft. I accidentally let it slip that my mom tried to burn me at the stake. Tara looked a bit confused, but oh well. After a few minutes Buffy had to go to class, which let me and Tara have a deep conversation about witchcraft.
While talking about the burning at the stake, it slipped out that my friend Amy turned herself into a rat to escape from that. I told Tara all about the Hecate spell. Fortuneatly, it turned out that Tara had a book about that, which her mother left behind to her. We went back to her room to get the book. Luckily, we did find the spell to change her back! The spell requires 10 drops of vampire blood. This is when knowing the vampire slayer comes in handy. I had to explain to Tara that Buffy was the slayer. I don't know if Buffy wanted her to know, but it seemed like Tara already knew a great deal about the vampires. We planned to do the spell tonight.
I have all the ingredients gathered. Fortuneatly, I was able to contact Buffy about the vampire blood. I went on patrol with her earlier this evening. She had to beat the vampire into unconsciousness in order to draw the blood. Thankfully we were able to get it. Tara should soon be arriving with her books. I am excited that we will finally be able to de-rat Amy.
