School and Old Friends

What a long day today, 9:30 to 5:00, wowww. Math was easy as usual, it's really fun just listening to people who can't seem to understand related rates ("so.. dy / dx of the formula...? Which one? Why? I'm so confused"), and also really funny to watch Big A deal with his class in between bitching about our Albertan weather (BigA: "Is it always this gloomy in September?" Class:"Yes" BigA:"And when will we see sunshine again?" Class:"June").

Biology is, as always, an incredible cinch. We have a midterm in two weeks and I am going to try to get an A , just for kicks. I love my Bio lab! My partners are so great, Nicole and I were speeding through the other parts of the lab just to get it done as soon as possible, and Katie was workin'  away at finding out bacteria under the 'scope, coz she's really good at that. So teamwork (and strong muscles) got us finished about an hour early. Yay!

I had lunch with my friend Kerrin today! We actually picked up lunch at this smoothie place called 'Juicy'. I had an orgasmic raspberry flavoured one, and we met up with one of Kerrin's dorm mates, Jill. She came along with us to hang out. We were looking around for a seat in SUB and couldn't find one, until I spotted a single boy sitting at a three-person couch. We decided to make friends and sat with him and all chatted. Man oh man, Kerrin's life is so damn exciting and eventful, I feel like the most boring person in the entire world by her. She's coming to Rocky Horror, which is GRAND! And she's also a key part in Operation: Save Derek, so Erin's making Derek come as well. I shall keep us posted.

Erin, Ben, Agatha and I went to DQ tonight and caught up. It was really nice to do this, since I haven't seen Ben in about two weeks, and he's got his hardcore music program school and his judge-things start soon. They literally sit you in a room and look at you, and ask you to play something. The thing is, it's ANYTHING. You have to be ready. Cool, eh? Stressful and nervewracking is what I really mean. Erin and I are going to a free ballet next week and will afterwards work on our costumes! We are being the Mad Hatter and the March Hare, from Alice in Wonderland (you like that, Lauren?). I'm the March Hare.

I totally put off studying for my Math midterm totally. I was all, "oh, yeah, I'm going to study 3 sections a day and look over my notes" To hell with that. I kept getting distracted, and I'm tired. I stayed up very late last night talking to Ashley (who, at 3 am time, was almost sitting down to supper at 7pm in Australia). But good news! We'll be sending snailmail to each other now! I'm so very excited. I shall send her a nice package filled with random things. Gad, I missed talking to her, quirky fun Ashley!

Anyways, I'm getting up at 6 tomorrow for my Chem lab. I'm off to bed!
XOXO
