Do you believe in love at first sight?
Well...maybe not love, but you can definitely form a connection with someone that could eventually become love. I mean, love is built on a lot of things...that connection for one, for another, you have to know the person. You can't know someone after just meeting them. You can be intrigued a-and you can genuinely like them, but love...
Love is something that has to come from shared interests and long nights sitting up together and just talking and trusting that person. Trust is the biggest part of it. You can't trust someone on the first meeting. Not really, no matter what you tell yourself. Trust comes from knowing someone.
When I first met Willow...I liked her. I liked her a lot. She was beautiful, and her smile lit up the entire commons area during that meeting. Plus...she knew what she was talking about in the Wicca group when no one else did. But I didn't fall in love with her until several days later. And, yes, it only took a couple of days. It was difficult to wait that long, really. She was a wonderful, beautiful person. She still is.
And while I don't believe that you can love someone at that very first meeting, I don't think there's a time limit on it. You can love someone after spending one day, all day, talking to them, or you can fall in love with them a lifetime after being friends but never more than that until one day...poof. They're the love of your life, and they probably always have been.
Does that make any sense at all?
