And once again, the day is saved! More or less, anyway...
Yes, I beat Persona 4 (Both the bad and normal endings). I had maxed out social links with the entire party except Naoto (who is a pain to befriend, D: I'd had maxed knowledge for AGES but the courage? That took forever) and Chie (who is always on the roof so I keep forgetting about her). I ended up beating the boss with Kanji, Teddie, and Naoto in my party... not because they were particularly good in the bossfight, but because I'd been neglecting Chie, Teddie was better at healing than Yukiko, and I left Yosuke behind too often... Naoto still died almost as much as Yukiko, but not quite as often... That silly detective needs more powerful single target spells, it's SUCH a waste of spirit points to use the almighty spells on the boss.
Actually, mum was trying to kick me off the PS2 for bed during the 'final' boss. I told her "Just give me like two minutes, I'll probably die again. I haven't level ground enough and I'm playing on expert." and then she came back several minutes later to complain that I was still on...
My response: "Well, I thought I was going to die... and then I didn't... I think I'm going to win in a few minutes."
I always forget to level grind. I keep spending all my time on social links, and then I totally neglect the optional dungeons. But I started a second runthrough, so I should be able to manage both, because I won't need to spend INSANE AMOUNTS OF TIME on upping my stats... Friggin diligence. I still haven't maxed it out yet, but luckily it's only needed for finishing that bowl of meat in Aiya and for fishing.
I'm going with Kou for strength and Ayane for Sun this runthrough, and having insane amounts of money, access to overpowered persona, and the beginner level (I beat the game already, I'm NOT going through that again on expert) makes winning the game soooo much easier. I'm already to Kanji's dungeon.
And I'm thinking of starting on Tales of the Abyss tonight. Though I'm not sure I'll have time...
See, I'm going to florida to visit my aunt for a week starting on saturday. And then like as soon as I get back, I'm apparently going somewhere with my dad... Argh... So tiiired. (But hey! This might be my chance to FINALLY see Disneyworld!) Mum needs to take me to buy a swimsuit, because my extreme dislike of sunlight and skimpy clothes mean I really haven't bought a new one in a while, and the one I had for vacation got ruined in the wash.
Oh! And my stepsiblings dad called for mum today. It took me a few moments to focus when I heard his very, very strong british accent over the phone and then I was like "Oh! OF COURSE!" I haven't heard from him for a while, so that was nice. Pity mum is currently with my brother at football practice... Hmm... I think Connor left watermelon downstairs...
ANYWAY! I actually have the sketches for those pictures I owe mostly done... Now I just need my computer to work again! I'm thinking of begging someone to take it to a shop, because I tried uninstalling things, system restore, and then ANOTHER system restore and still nothing! GRRRR... I miss my tablet and photoshop! T_T
