Chris Halliwell
I know you're feeling like you're lost, you feel you've drifted way too far

The Basics: 6'0", Brown hair, green eyes, favors normal, casual clothing like jeans and hoodies, big fan of layering.

The Details: Although he'd most likely smile shyly and deny anything of the sort, Chris is strikingly handsome, though he leans more toward the "pretty" end of the spectrum as opposed to the traditionally "handsome" side like his brother. He has bright green eyes set off by dark hair and fair skin that tans easily in the summer. He has very sharply defined features, including a hard jawline and high cheekbones. His nose is short and upturned at the end, a feature he hates because he thinks it somehow makes him look "delicate." Though slender, he is somewhat athletically built -- again, not nearly as much as Wyatt, but just enough to keep him out of that "scrawny bookworm" category. Barely.

Chris isn't a sloppy dresser, per se, but he's not particularly interested in making any fashion statements. As a result, he tends to prefer simple, casual clothing like any other early-twenty-something, and most of his closet is taken up by t-shirts, hoodies, jeans, and khakis. He also tends to gravitate toward darker colors.

Chris has no piercings or tattoos, nor does he have any desire to change that. He has a few scars here and there from the usual childhood accidents, but the only one that's readily noticeable is a faint light-colored mark under his chin.

Unchanged Future
In the unchanged timeline of Season 6 Chris, the above remains true but for one small but very important detail: he has lots of scars. All of them are easily hidden by his clothes, but they're readily visible underneath. They vary in size and color, but nearly all of them were inflicted by Wyatt's henchmen or, in a few cases, Wyatt himself. Chris also bears a "W" crudely carved on his right forearm. It is a mark borne by all witches who are caught in the future, though Chris is a rare example as most are summarily executed; the ones who are released are branded, and usually have their powers stripped as well. Chris supposes Wyatt was feeling "generous" the day he was caught.

PERSONALITY
can you feel it crush you? does it seem to bring the worst in you out?
there's no running away from these things that hold you down.

In addition to inheriting her powers and looks, Chris also seems to have gotten much of his Aunt Prue's personality. He is decidedly serious and no-nonsense, to the point his family has repeatedly and emphatically labeled him neurotic. He has a single-minded approach to everything, and once he fixes his eyes on a goal, he stops at absolutely nothing to accomplish it, often to his own detriment. He can be rude, bossy, and overbearing much of the time, and he has a notoriously short temper. He is very stubborn, as are most Halliwells, but again, this sometimes works against him. He thinks quickly on his feet, but he is also rash and impulsive, constantly throwing himself headlong into situations without first thoroughly thinking everything through. Chris is extremely sarcastic, another trait he inherited from both his mother and Prue.

That said, however, Chris is a kind person at heart. He is fiercely intelligent and wholly devoted to his friends and family. He's a quick learner with a vast memory, making him well-suited to filling the role of writing spells and knowing which ingredients work best for certain potions. He adores his family and is always there for them, no matter what, but his intense independence prevents him from seeking out their help in turn.

Unchanged Future
Although much is the same, the Chris of the unchanged future is a much harder, colder person. He has never lost his humanity, of course, but he is also far more morally ambiguous than his alternate version. He is sneaky and manipulative, willing to do whatever it takes to get people to do what he wants. He doesn't necessarily like doing it, though, so he also has an excessively guilty conscience. He is very reserved and even more independent than his counterpart, as his entire family had died by the time he turned eighteen and he had to grow up very quickly on his own. He distrusts everyone by default, and he is slow to forgive those who have wronged him. Though he is not cruel, he can be ruthless with his enemies, or even those who simply stand in his way. If he thinks you are a threat to his family, you are in for a world of hurt.

POWERS
do they complicate you because they make you feel like this?
of all the colors that you've shined this is surely not your best

Witch
Low-level telepathy: Chris is not a telepath in the strictest sense of the word, but he has the ability to "sense" when his siblings are in danger. Could be a manifestation of his sensing ability as a Whitelighter.
Potion making: The ability to brew potions for a number of different purposes.
Scrying: The ability to scry for a person or object by using a scrying crystal and a map.
Spellcasting: The ability to cast spells and perform rituals.
Telekinesis: The ability to move things using only his mind. Can be channeled through the eyes and hands. Used as Chris's primary power. Inherited from his Aunt Prue.

Whitelighter
Orbing: The ability to transport oneself via "orbs," blue and white points of light. A form of teleportation.
Photokinesis: Ability to create and manipulate light.
Sensing: The ability to locate a magical or mortal charge.
Remote Orbing: The ability to telekinetically orb person(s) or object(s) somewhere else without actually accompanying them. E.G., orbing a person to another location while the actual Whitelighter remains where they are.
Telekinetic Orbing: The ability to move things with the power of one's mind through orbing. Redundant, given Chris's primary witch power of telekinesis, which he uses far more often.

Potential Future Powers
Empathy: The ability to experience others' emotions without direct contact with them. Limited to charges.
Glamouring: The ability to change one's appearance to look like another human being.
Healing: The ability to heal nearly all physical wounds and most illnesses.
Levitation: The ability to rise several feet into the air by one's own power.
Omnilingualism: The ability to understand, speak, and read any language without prior training. Applicable only when a charge speaks a foreign language.
Reconstitution: The ability to literally pull oneself back together even after a catastrophic explosion.

HISTORY
I know you feel alone, yeah, and no one else can figure you out
but don't you ever turn away from the ones that helped you down

Chris grew up as the middle child of Piper Halliwell and Leo Wyatt. Along with his siblings, he gradually took over his mother's and aunts' duties as the Charmed Ones. Wyatt generally provides the brute force in their demon-hunting adventures, while Chris is usually responsible for writing and casting spells and making vanquishing potions. He and his younger sister, Melinda, typically share responsibility for coming up with battle plans.

Childhood was fairly uneventful, at least as uneventful as it possibly could be, given his magical heritage. Aside from the occasional demon attack, Chris's home life was pretty stable. He is the typical middle child, having developed a healthy rivalry with his older brother despite also being best friends, and growing increasingly protective of his younger sister. His and Wyatt's rivalry in particular found balance in the fact they attended both a regular, mortal school and Magic School; Chris excelled at regular school with perfect grades most of the time, while Wyatt far surpassed him in Magic School. Not coincidentally, this mirrored the boys' attitudes toward life in general and the role they hoped magic would play in their lives: Chris, much like his mother, enjoys his powers and would hate to lose them, but he also wants to minimize magic's influence in his life as much as possible. Wyatt, on the other hand, fully embraces his destiny and drags Chris into more than his fair share of magical hijinks.

Upon graduating high school, Chris decided to continue following his mortal path by enrolling in the chemistry program at UC Berkeley, per his Aunt Paige's suggestion. During the summers, he returned home to work in his mother's restaurant. During the break between his freshman and sophomore years, he met Bianca, the half-demon assassin witch who, to everyone's suspicion, soon became his girlfriend and then, to everyone's surprise (and, yes, suspicion), his fiancee. Chris graduated Berkeley summa cum laude and moved back home for about four months before renting an apartment with Wyatt in the city. Though he has a degree and a fiancee, he still doesn't know precisely what he wants out of life, so he's still working in the restaurant while he figures things out -- and, of course, carries on the legacy into which he was born.

Unchanged Future
Season 6's Chris, on the other hand, lived what could only be considered a hellish existence. Childhood was roughly the same as in his canon counterpart's life, but his father Leo was not such a positive presence in Chris's life. He was absent for the most part, always tending to his duties as an Elder and a Whitelighter and even his duties as Wyatt's father, but never for Chris. Chris got letters instead of hugs, disappointed looks about his refusal to embrace his magic while Wyatt was heaped with praise for doing what had always come naturally to him. Chris, ever the martyr just like his mother, also felt resentment on Piper's part for the way Leo never had time for her as a wife, only another charge. The strain of their relationship meant they never had a third child, meaning this version of Chris never had a younger sister. That was probably for the best.

Just days after Chris's fourteenth birthday, he arrived home from school just in time to see Piper killed in a demon attack. Distraught, he called for his father, but by the time Leo finally arrived there was nothing he could do. The shock of the attack deeply scarred Chris, who could only watch helplessly as Wyatt descended into madness in his quest for revenge. Their grandfather Victor moved into the Manor to take care of the boys, and since his brother and best friend was too busy chasing demons, Chris quickly developed a very close relationship with his Grandpa Victor. This was, in fact, the only relationship Chris could hold onto, as with the Power of Three broken, both Paige and Phoebe were killed within the following year, sending Wyatt spiraling irretrievably into evil.

When Chris was seventeen, Victor died of lung cancer, leaving the young boy at last with no family, no hope, and nothing left to lose. He ran away to avoid being put into foster care, choosing instead to try to get through to his brother and help him. When that failed, and when Wyatt made it perfectly clear that he was thoroughly enjoying his new powers and uninhibited use of magic, Chris joined the Resistance, a band of mortals and the few remaining magical beings who hadn't yet been hunted down and killed or forced to join Wyatt's side. As the world around them crumbled into ruins, Chris refused to accept the idea that Wyatt was completely evil and beyond saving. It was this optimism that kept him going, but which also led to his capture and subsequent torture on more than one occasion. The last time it happened was at the hands of a Phoenix named Bianca. While still in captivity, Chris managed to talk her into helping him escape, and then into joining him in the Resistance. As they fought side-by-side and learned to rely heavily on each other, they eventually fell in love and agreed to marry as soon as their battle was won.

The only way to win that battle, however, was to ensure it never had to be fought. Despite the obvious difficulties in the plan, Chris and Bianca, along with a few other trusted Resistance members, formed a plan to send Chris back in time to stop whatever evil force corrupted Wyatt as a child and planted the seed that would send him over the edge after Piper's death. Chris arrived in 2003, more than a year before his birth, just as the Titans began their assault. By concocting a story about how Paige was killed during the attack in the Manor (the first of many, many lies he would tell the sisters over the following months), he set into motion a manipulative and half-baked scheme to make his father join the Elders before he was originally destined to do so, thereby giving Chris the chance to take over as the Charmed Ones' new Whitelighter.

Because he couldn't tell the sisters who he really was or what his mission was without possibly changing the future in negative and unintended ways, he became extremely secretive and very hard on them, constantly pushing them to help him on his relentless demon hunt to find whatever had gotten to Wyatt as a child. Long story short, though he ended up sacrificing his life to do it, he succeeded not only in saving his brother, but his family and, in the process, the entire world. Not bad for the neurotic kid with an inferiority complex about his big brother.
