So yeah, Sunnydale is a crater now. Bit surprising, even considering the unique history of my hometown. My little psuedo coven at UC Sunnydale had been able to sense enough to know something was seriously about to hit the fan and that we should get hell out of Dodge. We knew something was coming, but didn’t expect anything like that. Never did the thought cross my mind that the place would be turning into the Grand Canyon Jr. I fully expected things to blow over and to be back hating my classes in about a week. Oh well.
By a certain strings of events too detailed to go into right now, I’ve ended up in Cleveland. Just my luck that my new hometown comes complete with its very own hellmouth. I am so scrying for non-demonic hot spots before I move next time. A bit of scrying also revealed a few former residents of the dale are out and about here as well. Michael’s here. It’d be good to see him. Haven’t talked to him since, well since I turned myself into a rat. And also wasisname? Tucker’s brother, I think he is. Looks like Faith’s here too. She should be fun to be around. Don’t think she ever knew me directly but I knew of her through Willow and the others. Always seemed that she was preferable to most of the other stick in the muds at Buffy & CO.
One of the girls from the UC Sunnydale coven was originally from Cleveland, and she put me in contact with a few other witches here. Turns out there’s a pretty strong, well-established coven. In retrospect, not all that shocking considering there’s a hellmouth here. And from what I’ve gleaned from them, strange thing are a happening. /On a hellmouth? Imagine that!/ Anyway, I’m staying with them for time being. As soon as I got in I started working on a privacy spell for some of my more, um less savory books and such. Not sure how cool these gals are with the less fluffy side of the craft, but I figure better be safe than sorry. And somehow, in a coven with this many witches, they’re out of newt’s eyes. *sigh* This is what comes from keeping communal potions supplies. I guess I’ll have to go out and get some more.
Looked in the phone book for a magic shop of some kind, since asking one of the coven members would be a big ‘hey I’m doing a spell’ message. ‘The Blue Moon’ sounds like a pretty good one. Of course, with my luck of late, it’ll probably end up being a store for doo-wop memorabilia.
