Pirates
I really don't understand the current obsession with pirates! I was playing on the Golden Hinde today and it's always filled with small boys dressed up as pirates, which I have no problems with.
What was much more wierd were the huge number of adults (mostly female) dressed as pirates who were wandering around outside the ship throughout the day. I almost wondered if it was a sort of flashmob thing. We eventually abandoned playing Tudor music and played Captain Pugwash, What shall we do with the drunken sailor, hornpipes etc, which seemed to be well received.
Quite surreal though. But at least for once we weren't the only people in silly costumes...
