WHOOPEE (maybe)
I think I've finally gotten my job. They asked for a couple more documents this morning and are passing everything along today for final processing. Unfortunately, this will take another 2 or 3 weeks. I won't believe it though until the day I go in to complete the forms for withholding and insurance (and of course get a start date). Be so nice to be working again! This is the longest time I've been out of work since I started the summer after I graduated from high school (except for the 2 years after the birth of my 2 sons). I even worked 30+ hours a week during college.
The HR person caught me on my cell phone in the middle of a discount store where I was just wandering looking at all the junk. Needless to say I left immediately, went home, gathered the docs and faxed them.
Keep your fingers crossed or say a prayer that this really does all work out!
