A first-year high school student, she has an obvious crush on Shirou Emiya, whom she refers to as “senpai” almost all the time. As such, she is usually found at his house before and after school, helping him with his chores, cooking his meals, and generally tending to him, to his chagrin at times. This began eighteen months prior, when Shirou injured his shoulder in an accident. She is also a member of their school’s archery club (in which her brother Shinji is a captain), and though this skill isn’t displayed very often, Shirou mentions her being "the rising star of the archery club."
Her quiet nature is mainly due to her family life; she is the biological sister of Rin Tohsaka, but was adopted out to the Matous, since they lacked an heir with mana circuits. Zouken Matou, the patriarch of the family, bred Shinji to be a Master despite Sakura being the one laden with mana circuits, and she was forced to give up control of her Servant (Rider) to her brother. Knowing that Sakura was the true magus of the family, Zouken implants his parasitic worm familiars - tainted with shattered pieces of the Holy Grail - into Sakura, draining her mana while feeding on her carnal impulses. As a result, she is abused - in every sense of the word - by Shinji, both as instructed by Zouken and out of his own jealous anger at her being a magus. She keeps this secret from everyone she knows, even trying to defend Shinji when she shows up at Emiya’s home with a bruised cheek. Also, despite her lack of involvement with the Holy Grail Wars, Sakura still possesses her original Command Seals.
Sakura is also easily flustered, and can be seen as a jealous type; though this can be hinted at when Saber first enters the picture as Emiya’s Servant, it is much more obvious when Rin Tohsaka shows up. She views Rin with utter resentment, as she is Sakura’s true sister, but doesn’t appear to care nor want to save Sakura from her fate. The flustered shyness is evident when people tease her; Sakura is quick to blush and dart away - resulting in running into doors or walls in her haste - and takes her time in working up the courage to ask questions. When she first began going to Shirou's home to help him out, he says it took "two hours of awkward silence" before Sakura worked up the nerve to ask him if she could help him out.
One aspect of her personality that isn’t revealed until it’s too late is Sakura’s anger. She is the type to keep it all bottled up inside, and it all comes spilling out when she becomes Dark Sakura.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
She has excellent potential as a mage, due to her bloodline. She is also capable of defending herself, should the need arise, as she is skilled with the bow and arrow. Her bond with Rider can be seen as a strength as well, despite her having given up initial control.
Weaknesses include her latent anger and the worms within her, as when Sakura gives in (and breaks free of Zouken’s control), she becomes Dark Sakura. Also, her personality can be a weakness, as her quiet, timid natures gives her the appearance of being a “doormat,” though as stated before, this has the potential to come back and bite people in the ass.
[ Other Important Facts ] :
→ The Command Seals: Sakura still has the mark of the Seals on her arm - the underside of her left wrist. These designate her as Rider’s true Master, and if possible, I would like to have these stand in as her Vatheon tattoo. Her Command Seals are the third set on the top row.
→ The Worms: The familiars implanted by Zouken, they are what stunted Sakura’s abilities and pretty much kept her under the Matou’s control.
→ Her Appearance: Her hair and eyes were originally black and blue, respectively. The violet color they have now are a direct result of Zouken’s familiars. When she becomes Dark Sakura, her appearance is twisted - her hair is drained of color, while her eyes become red.

Pushing herself to her feet, Sakura coughed harshly, then wiped at her eyes. The last thing she could remember was looking out the window. She’d seen the flash of light in the sky, felt the pain in her chest. Rider had been defeated, and she had intended to go outside, perhaps to see her former Servant one last time before she ceased to be.
If she remembered correctly though, it hadn’t been raining, and she was now completely drenched.
Glancing down at herself, Sakura felt her face burn at her appearance. With a gasp, she hastily pulled her pink sweater closed, covering the soaking white blouse underneath. As the sleeve was pulled taut, she noticed the mark on her left wrist, and turned her hand slowly. It had never been that color before - it was supposed to be red, with only one left - but now they were all back. The Command Seals…did this place have Servants as well?
Her eyes widened, once again filling with tears. Was it possible? Was Rider here…? Did the Wars stretch on even to this strange place?
Swallowing her fear, Sakura stood up, ignoring the tiny, hovering white light near her shoulder. “I wonder If Senpai is here, too,” she murmured to herself, looking around. It didn’t feel like he was, but there was no sense in standing still. Giving a timid smile to a stranger nearby, Sakura walked carefully down a western path, still clenching her sweater.
The white faerie still hovered nearby, following its new charge.
[ Questions? Comments? Concerns? ] : None at the moment; though Sakura still has the ability to become Dark Sakura, I can’t foresee it happening in the near future. When/if it finally does occur, I’ll discuss its limits with the mods. :]
