I just back from the show "Kill Will". It was hilarious. I was laughing so hard that I was tearing up through half of the show. It was presented by a husband-wife team who took some of the famous (and not so famous) deaths found in Shakespeare and presented them in different ways. Here's a list of the plays they did and how they presented them:
Macbeth: Mortal Combat: Scotland Edition video game
Henry IV, Part I: Commentary on how it was similar to Star Wars, then presented as a Samurai movie in space with 2 audience members "dubbing" the dialogue
Julius Caesar & Antony and Cleopatra: 5 audience members acting out 10 deaths, getting more dramatic each time, and ending with the "dead" Senate members coming back as zombies to kill Julius Caesar
Romeo and Juliet: Matrix-style
Hamlet: Silent film
Othello: Gender-swapped "played straight", then suggesting a rap before moving on "in fear of being sued"
Henry VI, Part II: FemCharacters American Gladiator-style
Titus Andronicus: All deaths and other violent acts performed in a finale montage

http://www.killwilltheplay.com/ This show was part of the Minnesota Fringe, Minnesota's festival of performing arts, which is the US's largest non-juried performing arts festival offering 169 shows at 19 locations for 11 days. I wish I had known about it sooner as I would have gone to more shows. I'll definitely have to keep a look out for this when it happens next year.
