So...

...my glasses decided to break this morning as I was getting ready. Thankfully, I'm not actually upset about this or in a panic as I've been expecting this to happen for weeks (actually, ever since I got hit in the face with the floor waxer cord in March). Thankfully, the break's on my ear piece, so it's currently taped and resting carefully on my ear. Numata-san's taking me tomorrow to the eye doctor to get new glasses. One good thing about it breaking is now my glasses aren't resting crookedly on my ears, which was making my eyes grow tired quickly as my lens were not positioned correctly over my eyes.

Happy thoughts for today. My friend finally e-mailed me his word for the Shiritori game (after I'd sent him my word 2 1/2 weeks ago!), and I won this game as his word didn't start with the same syllable mine had ended with. Here's the updated link: http://wistfulmemory.livejournal.com/114249.html

I actually cleaned my apartment yesterday. I'm not sure where the motivation came from, and I'm amazed it actually lasted until I was finished.

I got flowers today from the church that the Gospel Hula group performed at. They're very pretty carnations.

The weather's cooled down, which makes me really happy as I hate feeling hot and icky when I'm teaching (though I actually haven't been teaching on the days this week which have been this way...).

I was given a bag of pecans! I love pecans, and, of course, they're the one nut that can't normally be found in Japan.

Oh, and I have a new LJ friend. Yeah for new friends! :) *waves at naureen_rally* Hmm...looking at my flist, I think I became friends with over half of you guys since I came to Japan.

Now I'm off to attempt to be productive this evening. We'll see how that goes...
