holiday season

Dec 24, 2009 13:52

when i popped out of the subway station this morning, i did a double take and saw three camels walking along 6th avenue. i have officially seen it all.

so it's been quite some time since i've posted and a lot has been going on and i've been an oh so social butterfly. i'll just list some of the more mundane things (aka events i have no pictures for):

- MMG team dinner at villa berulia: i organized it this year again of course. overall quite successful- lots of fun was had by all

- 1285 branch Christmas party- it was held at the lincoln center. i convinced chrissi to come with me even though she didn't want to and it was fun- drank and were merry and even danced a little. our doorman/security guard was tearing up the dance floor

- shabu shabu at PT and ray's home in brooklyn- we ate until we couldn't eat anymore. no before pic, but here's the after:

FATTIES

- secret elfster dinner and gift exchange- i had triccia and she had me! i always have good times with these girls. gonna really miss them:

in front of our tree "fraiser" because he's a fraiser tree!

i like this pic because of the colors

- snow day(s)- it snowed a bunch last week...practically a blizzard! it was very cold, but chrissi came over to watch "love actually" and we had a photoshoot out in my courtyard and tompkins square park! we had a snowball fight with some guys and these nasty little boys who wouldn't stop throwing snowballs at us even when we surrendered.

we borrowed this dog from the person taking our picture

it was beautiful out

i took this picture of chrissi. it's my absolute favorite!

i had to climb on/step on this dude's back in order to get over the fence

i slammed my hand into the bench trying to run away from those kids. it hurt like a mother.

i've been hanging out with brian halloween. we have a lot fun together. on a somewhat related note, i'm starting to get really sad that i've only got a little over a month left here in NYC. i am not ready to leave yet!!

i know i should be super worried about finding a job in cali, but i'm not too concerned (very very bad!!). i figure if worst comes to worst, i'll just stay with the 'rents until i find something. i'm young, smart, motivated- i should be able to find a job within 5 months **fingers crossed** my mom actually mentioned that i should think about getting my nj done when i first move home and am jobless. not a bad idea mom! ubs is working to try and secure a position for me in one of the LA offices, but honestly, i don't think i want to transfer in my same position. if i do, i will feel obligated to stay for at least another year with the firm, which is something i'm not sure is right. also, the manager i spoke to in cali mentioned that my salary was actually really high and people in cali make way less. i calculated out the cost of living in cali though- if i want to get a 1 bedroom apt, buy a car (car payments, gas, insurance), i need to be making as much money if not more than i make here. eek!!!!!

yay it's almost 2 and i get to leave. can't wait to curl up on the couch and watch tv...
