This video belongs in the happy little trio that also includes "Four Years" and "Better". It's another attempt to even out my video editing karma, and explore the flip-side to my unrelenting angst. After making "Your Own Personal..." and "Chasing Arizona" so closely together, I was pretty wiped out emotionally. I've been recharging with Tony/Mcgee off and on since then, though the perfect song hadn't fallen into my lap until this one did. I'm sure it's being done all over youtube, but I don't really care. It's brought me out of a three month hiatus. These two are so delicious around each other it's like backstroking through a horny river. Or, eh, something?
I also wanted to make it as accessible as possible. So often my videos have very limited audiences either because of the subject matter or the narrow eye I choose for them to view from. I wanted to make a video that required no prior viewership of a show, while retaining the essential joy of said show and making it 100% awesome for fandom-insiders. I don't know that I accomplished that here, but it's making *me* smile to watch it over and over again. Hopefully someone else will get that same warm glow. This video *is* definitely a body language oriented video. Context highly unnecessary for the most part, or bring your own context. Seriously? This is more a playful romp between puppies than it is a vid.
No color work this time, just simple brightens and contrasts. I used the lip-sync technique again, but I tried not to overdo it, because I think it's a little distracting, if fun to watch.
Also, do any of you have tips on compressing? My xvid/divx codecs just don't seem to be doing their job anymore.
For the uninitiated, yes, these guys really do behave this slashy. It's crazy.
